Japan Tsunami Video Quite Tragic

Chris Houston
The Japan Tsunami video, pictures and photos are quite tragic this morning. Just about every national news outlet in the United States is airing different video of the Japan Tsunami as the story continues to develop. From the waves, earthquake to the horrible devastation-the videos and pictures are adding up to a very demoralizing scene in Japan. The Tsunami occurred after an earthquake that measured a reported 8.9 on the Richter scale.
Some media outlets are reporting the earthquake is the largest to hit Japan in 140 years and the waves of the Tsunami were as high as 13 feet.

The video coming in of the Tsunami is perhaps the most frightening such video we've ever seen of a natural event. CNN posted some of the most incredible video of the event-as tons of wreckage seemed to make its way deep into the coast of Japan. Another low angle video shows ships and high waves crashing into parts of one city. FOX News has also posted some more amazing video of the nearly surreal Tsunami. This video shows homes, cars and many other items rolling in as the Tsunami continues to seemingly gain strength. No matter which media outlet you turn to, video of the Tsunami is arriving constantly as the news gathering process of this natural disaster continues to take place.

This story on Huffington Post placed three of the most tragic videos you will ever see with such a catastrophe. The devastation appears to be widespread although the death totals are surprisingly and fortunately not as high as one might think so far.

FOX News Channel has showed amazing clips of a ship being tossed around because of the enormous waves. There have also been many videos of the actual earthquake from inside offices in Japan. According to FOX News, the quake hit at 2:46 PM local times and at least 63 deaths have been reported. Although the Associated Press is reporting those death totals at 60 in a story recently posted.
Because of the availability of cameras, the Japan Tsunami could emerge as the best information we've ever seen visually recorded concerning a Tsunami.

Now Hawaii is facing a Tsunami warning in the aftermath of the Japan Tsunami.
CNBC is reporting that the Red Cross Hawaii Chapter is preparing for what could be a difficult day in Hawaii with many evacuations in place. But according to this story on CNN, Tsunami warnings have been issued for 20 total areas following the Japan Tsunami. FOX News has said recently the Tsunami warning for Hawaii is extremely close and could hit by 8:21 EST.

Video of the actual Japan earthquake is also widely available on the internet this morning. The CNN News bureau in Tokyo caught the 8.9 earthquake on tape and posted that video here.

There will inevitably be more horrible video, pictures and photos of the devastation taking place in Japan. Hopefully the death totals will remain extremely low considering the pictures and videos that we are seeing this morning.
