This product comes in a sealed white plastic bottle. It has an orange and green label with black lettering. It instructs to take between 1-3 tablets every day at mealtime. The tablets are hard capsule shape, brownish-orange and easy to swallow. One benefit with Jarrow Formulas Antioxidant Optimizer is the wide variety of antioxidants you will get in one tablet. You do not have to take several different supplements to ensure that you are getting all the antioxidants that you need.
On the back of the bottle it lists the antioxidants it contains and what they do:
Antioxidant Optimizer is an outstanding, synergistic blend of water and lipid soluble antioxidants, including:
Lutein and Lycopene (Lyc-O-Mato) are prominent carotenoids, protecting eyes, cardiovascular system, breast, cervical, and other tissues and organs.
Green Tea 5:1 extract (45% polyphenols including 30% catechins) are the building blocks of OPCs and powerful antioxidants.
Silymarin flavonoids support liver function.
OleaSelect Olive Fruit Polyphenols consists of cardioprotective antioxidant flavonoids - tyrosol, hydroxytyrosol, and verbascosides.
LeucoSelect Grape Seed OPCs promote healthy circulation and capillary integrity.
Gamma Tocopherol is a form of vitamin E that protects against reactive nitrogen compounds.
This is a good supplement to take because it is not always easy to get what you need in your diet. I have been told that antioxidants help your immune system, hair, skin, bones, and heart. In addition, they can heIp fight against heart disease and cancer. Jarrow Formulas Antioxidant Optimizer has high amounts of a variety of antioxidants at a reasonable price. I plan to stay on this supplement and would recommend it to others.
