Jason Campbell and the Washington Redskins

Jason Campell better starting somewhere else. Jason Campbell was mistreated by the Redskins, and I love the team. He sat sideline for his first few years in the league. Perhaps these were years that he could've learned the position or taught how to be a starting quarterback for the pros. While at Auburn he had good numbers. He could've been a good starter if he had been taught or prepared to take over the position. Due to the injuries suffered at quarterback and lackluster performances, he was finally started as quarterback. However, his job as starter has constantly been in jeopardy. He has produced solid numbers over the years as a starter. He has had several offenses to learn, head-coaches, and several player changes. He has been the one consistent thing amongst the Redskins. Despite the question of his abilities to be a starting quarterback. He has produced solid numbers over all his years as a starter. He has shown great leadership, sportsmanship, and restraint.

He had not waivered as a Redskins. Despite the Redskins waivering on him. They searched for a quarterback in the 2009 draft to replace him. He came into the 2009 season with the Redskins doubting his abilities, and also sorting after Jay Cutler. He remained a true sportsman and continued to workout as if he would be starter. Redskins didn't get Cutler and Jason Campbell remained the starter. He didn't have a great season, but put up solid numbers behind an awful offense, awful coaching, and poor offensive line. He showed great leadership when he would get knocked down behind a tattered and injured line and continue to play. He was an unrestricted agent earlier this season. He has been tendered by the Redskins. He was later traded to the Oakland Raiders.

The Redskins signed Rex Grossman. Rex Grossman is a backup quarterback. His numbers and past performances have proven this. Jason Campbell is more mobile than Grossman and has better numbers behind a battered and battle-tested team. The Redskins also signed McNabb from the Philadelphia Eagles for draft picks. What happened to finding an offensive line to help protect the quarterback. McNabb has a few years left in the league but maybe not as many behind a poor offensive line. Campbell a younger more mobile quarterback. The draft picks we gave for McNabb could've prepared the Redskins for the future and fix a much needed offensive line.

McNabb has yet to win a Superbowl! Could he do it behind a patch job for an offensive line. Redskins seem to do the same thing every year by trying to find a quick fix in problem spots. Instead of fixing the whole problem. Will the Redskins ever succeed, again? Campbell has since started several games with Raiders, but has also been sat down. Hopefully, his game will become consistent and he can continue to start. However, the Redskins have continued to struggle. While Campell and the Raiders are in the Playoff hunt!
