Jason Castro's Rock & Roll Hall of Shame

American Idol Season Seven's Worst

Wendy Alli
Since my Associated Content story "American Idol's Top 8 From Best to Worst" it has since been long anticipated that Jason Castro would soon be off of American Idol. Listed as the worst in my previous article, it is hard to believe that Castro has made it to the top four of American Idol's season seven.

Every song that Jason Castro sings sounds the same. Castro's second performance of "Mr. Tambourine Man" during American Idol's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame week was a disaster as usual. Forgetting the words in the song, Castro hummed out the rest of the line. It is too late in the competition to be forgetting the words. Jason Castro, listed on the web site votefortheworst.com, will not be saved by the web site this week as Brooke White was the week she forgot her lyrics.

David Cook, Syesha Mercado and David Archuleta all did very well on their two songs for the night. The competition has become very tight between Archuleta, Mercado and Cook. Unfortunately, David Cook's first song did not sound the greatest but it was not his fault. The background music and vocals were too quiet. I think if the band had "let 'er rip" Cook would have sounded better.

The final two, as predicted, will be down to David Cook and David Archuleta. The Castro lovers of American Idol will have to sway their votes to another competitor as Castro has no chance whatsoever of winning the competition. If Jason Castro is not voted off on tonight's American Idol then votefortheworst.com is stronger than predicted and American Idol voters enjoy hearing the same vocal style and lame voice of one of American Idol's worst singers in the competition.

Sorry, but this has got to be the end of the road for Jason Castro. The blue eyes, dread locks, votefortheworst.com web site and a nice smile should not save him this time. The rest of the competitors were way too strong to allow Castro to stay on the show. Simon Cowell was dead on when he told Castro to pack his bags.
