Jason Natural PowerSmile Papaya Enzyme Brightening Toothpaste

Katri Marson
It was time again to buy one of my essentials of life, toothpaste. Jason Naturals brand has always been my go-to brand, but due to budget tightening, I had to steer away from my favorite brand temporarily. That is until now, when I broke down for my most recent purchase and bought Jason PowerSmile Papaya Enzyme Gel Toothpaste. That purchase reminded me why I always chose Jason brand before.

This was my first time buying Jason Enzyme Brightening PowerSmile toothpaste. It was the first time seeing it available, in fact. The flavor is peppermint and the only flavor they have in the Enzyme Brightening PowerSmile line. I personally like the fun unique flavors of toothpaste, but I really wanted to try this enzyme toothpaste in particular so I was OK with not having more flavor options.

I really do like this toothpaste a lot. It supposedly uses enzymes to break up tartar build-up and prevent plaque. I don't know if it does, but I believe that it does because my mouth feels really clean every time I brush and my teeth feel really smooth. Also, my teeth look better. I thought my last, cheaper toothpaste was doing a good job, but then I used Jason PowerSmile Papaya Enzyme toothpaste and saw my teeth and realized my other toothpaste could have been doing better.

The flavor is nice. It is naturally pepperminty and not really sweet. It isn't too strong. It does not at all taste like the mainstream artificially flavored and sweetened toothpastes. The peppermint flavor is more natural. It is naturally sweetened though it doesn't taste sweet.

The paste foams up nice. The foam is light. It's enough to cover your teeth though not enough to foam your mouth up and make you look like you are rabid.

This toothpaste is fluoride free, sulfate free and has no animal by-products or testing. As well as the papaya enzymes, it has tea tree oil and neem and baking soda and silica for whitening. It doesn't use bleach or chemicals and is naturally sweetened with xylitol.

The only thing I do not like about this toothpaste is that it is thin. It will run out of the tube a little too easily if you do not watch it. Be aware when you first squeeze it. Do not try to squeeze it too hard. As I mentioned, I used to purchase Jason Natural toothpaste before, but this particular line of their toothpaste is the only one I have found to be thin.

Despite the paste of Jason Natural PowerSmile Papaya Enzyme toothpaste being thin, I will definitely buy this again because I like how it makes my teeth feel and how clean my whole mouth feels. I hope they decide to expand the line and add more flavor choices. But even if they don't, I would still buy it.
