Jason Tea Tree Soothing Gel

It was about a month ago that I developed this mystery rash behind both of my legs. It was in the crease of the back of my knees. This rash started as a few tiny bumps, but with the intense itching soon spread to the size of about three quarters put together. Anyway, I looked up so many things online to find out what this mystery rash could be, but to no avail I could not get it to go away. I read information on scabies, yeast skin rashes, allergic reactions and so on. I know, I could have gone to the doctor, but I have been there, done that before and was only recommended to see a dermatologist, who was two hours away. As I started to think of the mystery rash, I remember having the same thing happen to me when I was pregnant with my first son, and it was equated to hormones. That makes perfect sense to me, because I have a hormonal imbalance, and I was just starting to regulate myself using Maca Powder, so because things were getting back to normal, my body went a bit hay wire.

Anyway, on my journey of healing this more than annoying, obsessively itchy, aggravatingly disturbing rash, I bought Jason Tea Tree Soothing Gel. I like Jason products, mainly because they are practical in price and are typically natural and organic, using ingredients typically found in nature to heal you. So At only $3.99 for a 4oz tube of Jason Tea Tree Soothing Gel, I made the decision to go for it!

The Tea Tree Soothing Gel has a strong tea tree oil scent, but certainly not as over powering as the oil it's self. Arnica and marigold are also added to the gel for a more uniquely well blended balance of soothing qualities for the skin. Upon it's first use, I felt it work right away...or so I thought! Just hours after applying the gel, the rash became so itchy that I couldn't stop scratching it. Perhaps I should have just restrained myself and applied more gel, but this itch was intense! I have found that this Gel does stop the itch, but am going to rate this product as three stars out of five. The reason being that the main ingredient, Tea Tree Oil is actually the fourth ingredient listed. This being said, just putting straight up tea tree oil is more effective for serious skin aliments, and works wonders!

I was a bit disappointed to see which hazel as the second ingredient, because although it is great for skin, I had already tried straight witch hazel with no success. I truly believe that if this Tea Tree Soothing Gel had more Tea Tree Oil in it, it would be a great product. I still use it for insect bites and works just fine, but next time my hormones go kooky -- I am heading straight for Tea Tree Oil itself, because it really does work. I would recommend Jason Tea Tree Soothing Gel for any medicine cabinet, especially considering it's pretty cost effective depending on where you shop. The effect of the Tea Tree Soothing Gel does wear off quick, leaving you no warning, just a strong desire to scratch! So I would recommend applying it to your itchy spots frequently, hopefully before the itch comes back!
