Jaysen Bell works as a real-estate salesman.

Some Background

Jaysen Bell is was charged with rape, sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, and sexual imposition by a grand jury.

Police in Amelia started investigating allegations of abuse in June. Police say the allegations date from 2003 to 2006, on two separate foster sons.

Bell has a history of working with children. Not only have he and his wife been foster parents through Lifeway for Youth, the same agency who placed 3-year-old Marcus Fiesel, he has also served at a middle school as a cafeteria monitor and as a youth minister at Goshen United Methodist Church.

No one at the school or the church has reported any complaints against him for inappropriate contact with children.

The Bells have had custody of more than 30 boys and girls through the foster care program.

On August 9th, three laptop and two desktop computers were seized from the Bell residence.

The Allegations

One foster boy told police he was sexually abused from September 2006 until June of this year. One of them also stated that Bell attempted to photograph him without clothing.

The allegations were brought to the attention of police when one of the foster children disclosed them to a police officer at church. There were no previous complaints through the foster care agency of any misconduct with children.

Jaysen Bell has pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him.
