Jazwares may soon release their second wave of Mega Man Retro Roto figures

Will a Third Wave of Mega Man Roto Figures Be Released as Well?

The Mega Man Retro Roto figures produced by Jazwares several years ago are still popular among Mega Man fans. These special figures commemorate the original Mega Man video games from the 1980s that were only playable on the Nintendo Entertainment System. There were five different individually packaged Mega Man characters available from the first wave. What made this wave so interesting to many collectors was the whole new "Build-a-Bot" concept. The Build-a-Bot concept allows you to create a brand new Mega Man figure from spare robot parts that come separately inside each Mega Man package.

According to www.themmnetwork.com, Jazwares may finally consider releasing Wave 2 of the Retro Roto Mega Man series. The new wave will likely feature villains such as Woodman, Heatman, and Iceman. If Jazwares does indeed release the long awaited second set, then they may use the Build-a-Bot concept once again. The concept is very similar to that of the Marvel Legends action figure line from Hasbro. Their version of it was called the "Build-a-Figure" concept which allowed collectors to create gigantic villains from the Marvel Universe.

According to www.jazwares.com, Jazwares has not announced any official news regarding the release dates of their second wave, but the re-release of their Rotos indicates that it will be very soon. If you are interested in purchasing the figures from the first wave, you may find them at a CVS pharmacy or at Toys "R" Us. Believe it or not, Jazwares had once released a line of Mega Man figures based off of the popular Mega Man X video games from the 1990s. These figures were nothing like their Retro Roto counterparts because they had significant amounts of articulation. They were highly detailed action figures, but the only major problem they had were their flimsy body parts.

Most Mega Man figures sold in stores are rather blockish, but these were long and oddly designed. The legs on these figures were too long compared to their very short arms, but the plastic used to manufacture them was of high quality. Despite their unusual appearance, I believe these Mega Man figures are still highly collectible because of rarity. My personal favorite Mega Man figure from this line would have to be the six inch Nightshade Zero. The figure is considered quite rare since the red version is very common in stores such as Big Lots and Wal-Mart. You can also find them at eBay, but some of their prices are rather steep compared to their original values.
