Jeans for Tall Women: Find Them Online

C. Phillips
Finding jeans that are both flattering to your figure and the right length can be difficult if you are 5'11" and over. Is it impossible to find a great fitting jean for your height? Have you become content to wear the 33" inseams that just barely pass off as the right length when standing? Well, don't throw in the towel yet, here's a list of some online sites that can help.

Gap.com

The Gap has become more welcoming to tall sizes in the past 8 years. They carry tall jeans in their stores and on their online store. If you are unsure about the fit of these jeans, just stop by at your local Gap location and try them on. Not only do they have the usual part 'stretch' jeans, but they also carry all cotton ones. If you have trouble with the stretchy kind getting all bent out of shape, than try these cotton styles that give you form without future (around 5 o' clock) formlessness. The beauty of the online store is that you can always find your size, whereas the stores may not have your size in stock. Their site also provides charts to determine what fit would be best and you can find out whether a certain color is available in your size simply by hovering over your size number. The "Long" inseam is 34" and the "Tall" inseam is 36", so don't get confused by these terms or you might find yourself coming up short when you get your package via the postal service. Though these numbers are estimates, you can find out what the exact inseam of the style you want is by clicking on the "fit & sizing" tab. They even have "X-Long" in a few styles that offer a 38" inseam. And as always, The Gap provides quality clothing at the mid-price range. If you are not into spending $50.00 on a pair of jeans, though they are a perfect fit, just check out their clearance 'rack' online for up to date fashions at a fraction of their original price.

Tallwomensclothes.com

With a name like Long Elegant Legs, how can you go wrong? This site even bridges The Gap by boasting 39" inseams. Hurray! Get a classic style 5-pocket pair for about $72.00, Hipster Jeans for $68.00, and Brass Studded ones for $68.00. They are a bit more expensive than Gap, but they do go to great lengths to please! The fun thing about their item descriptions is that they include whether this style runs big or small, short or long, so you can determine what size you need much better.

Simplytall.com

This is another great site for 36" and above inseams. They have a decent number of jeans to choose from depending on your age group. For teens there are a few fad styles and for middle-aged women you can find the standard classic five pocket styles. The trendy styles are similar to Levi jeans, but in the $50-60 price range. And although I did not include Levi on this list, they are also a good brick and mortar company to go to for long jeans if you are 5'11", but beyond that the store inseams may be a little short at approximately 34".

Tallandall.com

This site serves a few countries besides the US, and just about all the clothing is made in Great Britain. If you are into some crazy hippie jeans, this is the place for you. Inseams go from 35" to an admirable 40" for most fashions. How great is that? You can find hot pinks, yellows, and neon orange jeans for around the $65 price range. Most of the styles feature low waists with huge flares from the knee down. This is a great site for those that are tall and proud of it. You can't help but be noticed when your 36" legs are covered in striped hot pink. You've got to see it to believe it.

So, don't be down on your height because there are a lot more companies out there than those listed that are aware of your length needs. Just find your style and I promise you won't be disappointed.
