Jeep Liberty Urban Terrain Stroller

Kate F
For expectant parents, or those simply looking for a tough, durable stroller, there is not better than the Jeep Liberty Urban Terrain stroller. It is truly built in the spirit of Jeep, able to handle cracked sidewalks, unpaved roads, and wooded paths with ease and comfort.

The Jeep Liberty Urban Terrain stroller offers many unique feature from top to bottom:

--Wheels: While this stroller is a three-wheeler, it is not considered a jogging stroller because the front wheel can be locked straight for stability, or unlocked to allow for excellent steering. Its rubber, air-filled tired (air pump is included) and shocks give baby a comfortable ride.

--Storage: Besides the large convenient basket under the seat, there are two "saddle bags", one on each side, for smaller objects you may not want rolling around in the big basket.

--Safety features: This stroller offers some excellent safety features to enhance your enjoyment of the great outdoors while out with baby. The first is the padded 5-point harness, meaning shoulder straps that meet at the waist with the crotch strap. If you are walking at night, you will have the added security of reflectors on the footrest of the stroller. The final thing that I consider a safety feature, thought it is not typically thought of as such, is the large canopy, some models even including a flap in front for extra sun protection. For a fair-skinned family like ours, this built-in sun protection is essential. It also has a large clear window in top for the parents to see what their little one is up to.

--Comfort and convenience for both: Jeep really covered their bases when it came to comfort. For baby there is a multiple position reclining seat with extra thick soft padding, and a molded footrest that comfortably holds their little feet. For the person pushing the stroller there is a great padded foam handle that is so comfortable in the hand. Both driver and passenger have two spots for drink or snacks.

--Entertainment: Here is where Jeep really went above and beyond with their Liberty Urban Terrain stroller. For baby, there is a detachable dashboard that sits on their snack tray (but does not cover the cup/snack holders) with a steering wheel, shifter, key, and mirror. On the steering wheel there are three buttons: a horn, a "radio" that plays classic baby tunes, and an engine-starting sound that my father, a mechanic and car buff, can tell you is really a Jeep engine starting. Baby can have fun making all sorts of noise. Jeep took care of the parent too, though. In the parent tray is a locking lid that can hold your CD or MP3 player, which then plugs into speakers connecting to it. You can have an even more relaxing walk listening to you favorite music, or soothing baby with hers.

The Jeep Liberty Urban Terrain stroller has proven a worthwhile purchase. While its size, even when folded, can be a hamper on its usage and travel, for being out in the openness of the great outdoors, it cannot be beat.
