Recently Jeff Fisher attended a charity event that recognized former head coach Tony Dungy. Dungy is a long time head coach in the NFL and well known for his charitable work as well as his faith. Jeff Fisher was to introduce coach Dungy and say a few good words about him. In an attempt at humor coach Fisher took off his shirt when he arrived on stage to reveal every Tennessee Titan fan's worst fear; a Peyton Manning Jersey. Not only are Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts rivals they are much more than that, they are Division Rivals. These 2 teams play each other at least twice per year, and in many seasons these teams are competing for the top spot in that division. For Jeff Fisher to don the jersey of his division enemy is a travesty. Much worse than Jeff Fisher wearing the Indy jersey however is his attempt at explaining why he wore said jersey. According to video replays on ESPN Fisher's statement to the audience was "I just wanted to feel like a winner". Many in the audience and those who have seen the replay are left wondering what his players think about such a statement.
Jeff Fisher is a smart man. Currently though he is wrapped in a heated battle with Tennessee Titan owner Bud Adams over the lack of playing time given to former first round draft pick Vince Young. Coach Fisher has stuck with Kerry Collins over the much younger Vince Young as his starting quarterback. What is strikingly odd to most of us watching from the outside though is why Coach Fisher has refused to play Vince Young now that it is clear the Tennessee Titan season is lost. One can only assume Jeff Fisher is ready to leave Tennessee. Any corporate business man will tell you that when someone is ready to leave the best thing for your company to do is to say goodbye.
If Jeff Fisher's wearing of Peyton Manning's Jersey is a slap in the face to the Tennessee Fans, then his so called apology should feel like a punch to the gut. Jeff Fisher offered this apology through his radio show on Nashville's 103.3 FM "If you're offended over the nature of that type of thing, then I think you need to rethink things...If people are offended I apologize, but if I had to do it again I would do it again". Anyone that can read should no this is no apology. An apology followed by I would do it again shows no remorse. To me, it is OK that he feels the way he feels. But Jeff Fisher needs to realize he is fooling no one, not even his boss Bud Adams. So you ask, will Jeff Fisher be fired because of this. My answer is yes...Jeff Fisher will be fired by the Tennessee Titans. Quite possibly before the end of the season.

I am a long time avid Titans fan who doesn't care for Peyton Manning and I thought it was funny. people who were offended might consider getting a sense of humor
Not my sport, but for anyone to show support for their biggest rivals is in my opinion asking to be removed from their post.
Josh, I did post it last month....somehow or another it was pulled 2 days ago and then republished....very strange....I had another article do that too.
I thought you posted this last month? Heh.
Well written!
Firing Fisher would be even more idiotic than flipping off the Bills fans last weekend.
Tony Dungy is such a beloved man, it's hard to understand why Jeff Fisher would behave like that.
It will be interesting to see what happens as a result of this.
