The Crew House Museum Tour

The Richmond, Ohio, Historical Society is giving a tour of a local historic homestead on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. The Crew House Museum, located at 37 West Main Street, Richmond, was converted into the local historical society museum. Artifacts and furnishings have been carefully preserved. The Jefferson County Job Fair

From 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, September 15, 2009, the Jefferson Community College will host the Ohio Valley Job Fair 2009. Be sure to dress for success, since you will be meeting potential employers. The Jefferson County Fair 2009

August 18-23, 2009 will see the annual Jefferson County Fair

The fairgrounds open at 8:00 am most days. See schedule of events for full details and times.

There is a plan to keep you constantly entertained. Shows are scheduled almost continuously. Entertainment including music and magic shows is scheduled throughout the day. The Mason County Line Band and the Heavenly Metal Steel Drum Band will each make an appearance.

Young children are not left out in the following competitions: Baby Beautiful Contest, Baby Diaper Derby, and Tot Trot.

Competitions include the Coronation, a Style Review, the Star Search Talent Show, Cheering Competition, Dance Competition, My Pa's Better Than Your Pa Contest, a Karaoke Contest, a Cookie Decorating Contest, and the Judging of Bake Goods,

Threshing Demonstrations will be held throughout the event.

Animal judging will be in the following classes: Swine, Goats, Rabbits, Saddle Horses, Beef, Steers, Feeder Calves, Small Animals, Poultry, Draft and Light Horse Halter Classes, Dairy Cattle.

Animal shows will be in the following categories: Horse Showmanship, Large and Small Animal Costume Competition, Sheep Showmanship, Horse/Pony Performance Contest, Swine Showmanship, Llama Show, Horse Show, Horse Pulling Contest, and Dog Show,

Other shows include Jefferson County Garden Clubs Show, "Grand Parade", Ohio Valley Modular Railroad Club, Home Talent Demo Derby, Lawn Mower Demo Derby, Toy Farm Equipment, Baked Good Auction, The Great Square Dance, The Game Show, and the Antique and Farm Stock Tractor Pull.

And don't forget to visit all the Exhibit Booths.
