Jeffrey Jones, Sex Offender, Arrested Again

Sex Offender Jeffrey Jones

Jeffrey Jones, star of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", has a felony charge. He failed to update his registration as a sex offender in California. The LA Times reported this on Wednesday.

Jones, 63 now, was arrested last week on suspicion of failing to re-register within five days of his last birthday.

Jones was placed on five years probation in 2003. He was mandated to register as a sex offender, and required to attend counseling. Jones had pleaded guilty to inducing a fourteen year old boy to pose for sexually explicit photos.

Jones allegedly paid the boy to pose in various outfits, and he took photos of the boy in his Hollywood Hills home. The LA Times said that Jones paid the boy twice for the nude photos.

In a plea bargain, the possession of child pornography charge was dropped, because Jones pleaded no contest to inducing a minor to pose for sexually explicit photos.

In July of 2004, he was arrested by Florida Police after failing to notify them of his change of residence. This is a requirement of Florida's version of Megan's Law.

Jones portrayed Principal Ed Rooney in the Ferris Bueller movie. He also appeared in Beetlejuice, The Devil's Advocate, and Amadeus.

I hate liars, thiefs and sex offenders.
I think they should be put to death if D&A proves they're guilty.
