Try These Pretty and Flavorful Jello Shooter Recipes

Plan your next party using these jello shot recipes. Jello shots are a nice change from mixed drinks. Forget about spending your party mixing drinks. Jello shots can be made ahead of time so all you need to do is pull the tray out of the refrigerator. Trays or platters of these jello shots make a colorful and fun display for your table. Jello shot recipe combinations are only limited by your imagination. Pick up a variety of jello colors and flavors and experiment. These three jello shot recipes will get you started.

Tropical Lime Jello Shots
1 package lime jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup coconut rum
2 oz cups or clear shot glasses.
Mandarin orange slices (optional)
Cooking spray

1) Mix Jello and boiling water in a medium bowl. Stir until dissolved.
2) Let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
3) Add the rum and stir well (Tip: Chill the rum for faster set times)
4) Spray the inside of the glasses with cooking spray for easy release of jello.
5) Pour into glasses and chill until set at least 3 hours (Tip: Fill the cups on a cookie sheet for easy cleanup and transfer in and out the refrigerator.)
6) Garnish jello shots with a slice of mandarin orange.

Dreamsicle Jello Shots
1 package of orange jello
1 cup boiling water
½ cup of cold water
½ cup vanilla vodka
Small paper or plastic cups
Whipped Cream (optional)

1) Mix Jello and boiling water in a medium bowl. Stir until dissolved.
2) Let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
3) Add the cold water and vanilla vodka.
4) Pour into cups and chill until set, at least 3 hours.
5) Garnish jello shots with whipped cream.

Orange Champagne Jello shots
1 package orange Jello,
1 cup boiling water
1 cup chilled champagne
Ice cube trays
Raspberries (optional)
Cooking spray

1) Mix Jello and boiling water in a medium bowl. Stir until dissolved.
2) Let the mixture cool to room temperature..
3) Add the champagne..
4) Spray the ice cube trays with cooking spray.
5) Pour into ice cube trays and chill at least 3 hours until set.
6) Run knife around the outside of the cubes and remove from tray.
7) Place in a large bowl and garnish with raspberries.
8) Serve with ice tongs.

For Christmas make red and green Jello shots. For Halloween try orange jello shots.
Experiment with different serving containers. Enjoy the party and rest assured that there won't be any alcoholic beverages spilled on your rug if you substitute jello shots. Remember to drink responsibly and keep jello shots out of the reach of children.
