Jellyrolls Dueling Piano Bar: Walt Disney World for Adults

The Best Kept Secret on Disney's Boardwalk

R. M. Dubuc
Adults who visit Walt Disney World are often left wondering what to do for some nightime entertainment. Once the Disney parks close for the night and the Extra Magic Hours are over, it may be time to head over to Jellyrolls. Luckily, one of the best kept secrets on Disney's Boardwalk is open seven days a week for the Disney World traveler. Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar, is one of the liveliest places to visit for a good night of entertainment. The talent at Jellyrolls is amazing, and there are a number of performers at Jellyrolls, each with their own personality and style.

The Jellyrolls Experience

Jellyrolls is an upbeat and entertaining place to spend an evening. The Jellyrolls doors open each night, 365 days a year, at 7 pm, and the Piano Men take the stage at 8 pm. Arriving early is suggested if you want to get a table, or a spot close to the stage. Most of the crowd tends to wander in after 9, and seating can get tight later in the night as Jellyrolls fills up. The minimum age for admission to Jellyrolls is 21 years of age and identification is required at the door, as well as a $10 admission fee.

Jellyrolls has two main bar areas, and there are servers who do the rounds taking drink orders frequently. There is a full bar and specialty drinks for those who want a more potent beverage. The specialty drink I tried was an extra large sized drink, with a generous amount of alcohol, well worth the $9. Water, both tap and bottled is available for non-drinkers. There are tables on the floor, near the stage for close viewing, as well as an upper deck, which features stools overlooking the floor area and a number of additional seats and tables on the upper deck.

The atmosphere at Jellyrolls is perfect for a night out with friends or for those in town on business looking for a fun night out. Jellyrolls is not a quiet place, and the atmosphere is lively and upbeat. It's common to hear a rendition of American Pie one minute and Bon Jovi the next. Jellyroll guests decided on what the Piano Men will play and sing by sending up requests on napkins with a tip. Anything goes at Jellyrolls and the Piano Men seem capable of playing just about any request.

Performers

The talented Piano Men at Jellyrolls can play, and sing, just about any song requested by the audience. The nightly performers change, with pairs of Piano Men on stage together at the same time. The main Piano Men at Jellyrolls are Christian, Jason, Michael, Pete, Ray, Scotty, and Tommy. Each musician has their own musical style, and all are engaging and fun to watch. The performers work with the audience to put on a great show, and this works perfectly at Jellyrolls.

Location and Directions

Jellyrolls is located at Disney's Boardwalk Resort area, at 2101 EPCOT Resort Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, 32830. The phone number for Jellyrolls is (407) 560-8770. Jellyrolls has free parking at Disney's Boardwalk Resort, as well as bus trasportation to the Boardwalk Resort from all of the Disney parks. Late trasportation back to a Disney Resort is not available, however, since the Disney busses do not directly connect from one Disney Resort to another.

Jellyrolls can also be reached by taking the Hollywood Studios boat trasportation to the Boardwalk Resort, or walking from EPCOT, through the International Gateway entrance towards Disney's Boardwalk area. Guests not staying at one of the Disney Resorts or visiting a Disney park, can use the free parking option at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. Taxis are available for trasport back to the Disney Resorts at closing time, in front of the Boardwalk Resort.

I know this is an older article, but it was the first one that popped up on one of my google searches about Jellyrolls. There is awesome info in the article, just wanted to add that I've read they do have busses to the other resorts now. Just wanted to throw that out there for anyone else who stumbles across this article! :)
