Chop that Hair!

Two famous trendsetters chopped their locks this week: Justin Bieber and Jennifer Aniston. On Monday, Justin announced via Twitter that the classic Bieber-swoop was gone, exchanged for a much better short, close-cut style. See the picture here.

Aniston isn't unfamiliar to being a hairstyle trendsetter, as her hairstyle as Rachel on "Friends" sent women across the country scurrying into their salons to get the same 'do. Currently on the go promoting her film Just Go With It, Aniston appeared at the Berlin premiere still sporting her long locks, only to show up in Madrid with a sassy new shoulder-length bob. See the photo here. Love it or hate it?

"Spiderman" Gets Another Tweak

The latest news for the troubled Broadway musical "Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark" is that, according to The Baltimore Sun, the production has hired Paul Bogaev, a veteran in show business who helped along another famous musical production: the award-winning movie musical Chicago.

Bogaev has been hired as a "consultant," i.e. the production's last hope to help with all the innumerable set-backs it's been plagued with from the beginning. Looking back at his track record, it seems that if anyone can help this production, it's Bogaev. He helped to craft Broadway's "Aida" and acted as music director for "Sunset Boulevard," "Les Miserables" and "Cats."

Since the beginning, the show has suffered numerous cast catastrophes, including the 30 foot fall of stunt man Christopher Tierney, a workplace safety investigation and pushing back the opening night five times. Hopefully, Bogaev can help director Julie Taymor keep the opening date set as March 15.

Family Bonds

And now that Billy Ray Cyrus has bitten the hands that feed him, i.e. bashing the money train that was his famous daughter's "Hannah Montana" show, he's ready to make nice. Cyrus blamed his familial troubles on daughter Miley Cyrus' famous Disney show, telling both People magazine and GQ that the show is responsible for the destruction of his family. . .despite that whole thing where it saved him from remaining that one guy with the mullet who sang "Achy Breaky Heart."

But now the tune has changed and Cyrus is in damage control mode, telling People, "It is very important to me to work on mending my family right now." Apparently, he also had no idea that his comments would be so "explosive." Damage control is a beautiful thing, yes?
