Jennifer Aniston's, Meg Ryan's and Vivica Fox's Love Lives Intertwine and Join Falling Birds as Unexplainable Phenomena

With birds falling from the sky at a seemingly apocalyptic clip, and with some Christian groups predicting end times beginning on May 21, 2011, news broke this week that sexy older celebrities Vivica Fox, Jennifer Aniston and Meg Ryan are taking another shot at romance and love. Fox, we found out today, is engaged to a younger man; Aniston, it was revealed, is involved with actor Adrien Brody; Ryan is living, figuratively speaking, in a little pink house with rocker John Mellencamp.

There is a surreal quality to the opening days of 2011. We observe events such as thousands of birds falling from the sky and dead fish washing to shore and link these events, at least in some quarters, to things such as the end days and conspiracy theories. It is human nature, after all, to look for an explanation that goes beyond sheer randomness when confronted with an otherwise unexplainable set of circumstances.

How then shall we explain that Fox, Aniston and Ryan's love lives, suddenly all in the news at the same time, seem to be eerily intertwined?

Consider the following.

The newly engaged Fox is the ex-girlfriend of rapper 50 Cent, who, in the not too recent past, was said to be involved, at separate times, with both Chelsea Handler and Meg Ryan.

As mentioned, Ryan has been seen out and about with the aging 1980's rock star Mellencamp, who in 2010 filed for divorce from his supermodel wife Elaine Irwin Mellencamp. For her part, Handler is good friends with Aniston; she, in fact, spoke harshly about Aniston's ex-husband Brad Pitt's now girlfriend Angelina Jolie in the closing weeks of 2010.

An unreported possible motive for Handler's rant towards Jolie was the fact that 50 Cent at one time made clear his desire to take Pitt's place and bed Jolie for an evening. Could Handler be jealous, perhaps?

There's more though to this set of circumstances that scream 'conspiracy'. For one, Aniston's love rival Jolie starred with Ryan's ex-husband Dennis Quaid in the 1998 movie "Playing By Heart" . Also, Aniston and 50 Cent once appeared on the same Conan O'Brien episode. Aniston also co-starred with Meg Ryan in the 1996 movie, "She's the One".

As 2011 seems to be shaping up as the Year of the Conspiracy Theory, it is fun, although assuredly not instructive, to look for patterns among what might be otherwise considered random celebrity relationships. Now, if we can figure out if Meg Ryan, Jennifer Aniston or Vivica Fox have anything to do with birds falling from the sky, we'll really be on to something.
