Jennifer Antkowiak has captivated Pittsburgh audiences for years. This Oil City, Pennsylvania, native initially won the hearts of viewers, and her future husband, in Erie, where her career began.

It wasn't long before Jennifer's magnetism attracted KDKA-TV 2 in Pittsburgh. In 1993, Jennifer joined the station and began what would become a remarkable career. The combination of Jennifer's "one of the family" persona and her sincerity formed an powerful bond with audiences. She quickly rose beyond celebrity status to that of an icon.

It was a sad day when Jennifer decided to leave her news career. Although it was hard to walk away from her TV home, colleagues, and fans, it was time for her to say goodbye. The chance to spend more time with her family, something she had always wanted, finally materialized.

In the spring of 2006, Jennifer took on the role of public relations director for fitness guru Leslie Sansone. The two women bonded so well that Jennifer's family is featured in Leslie's Family Walk DVD. Despite her absence from television, the fans never forgot Jennifer, and she never forgot them.

In the summer of 2007 came the news that many had waited to hear. Jennifer was returning to television. Although she loved her position within Leslie's organization, Jennifer was offered an opportunity that she couldn't resist - her own talk show.

The idea appealed to her reporter side, but sealing the deal was the fact that she would have total control over her schedule and the format. The show was a perfect fit for Jennifer. How could she refuse?

In August 2007, jennifer Productions, a company Jennifer founded, began taping "jennifer" for it's debut in the fall line-up on WTAE-TV Channel 4. The show airs every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. with several specials slated throughout the year.

Each episode of jennifer centers on busy women and families, issues that Jennifer knows well. She says, "Our mission is to try to make life easier by tapping into the experience of the many experts I've had the pleasure of interviewing during my years in TV news, and others; and featuring that information in a way that's easy for people to understand and use in their daily lives."

Jennifer takes full advantage of the tips and advice that her show offers to viewers. Not only is she an involved mother of five, she wears many other hats as well. In addition to hosting and producing duties, Jennifer is very involved with her interactive website, jennifertvshow.com. She also writes a weekly newspaper column, Family, Inc., published in 30 Trib Total Media newspapers. Until recently, she had her own magazine, At Home With jennifer. No doubt, the fact that Jennifer takes her own advice is one of the reasons that her show is so successful.

Even with her busy schedule, Jennifer is generous with her time. The Golden Rule of treating others as she would like to be treated always guides her. More importantly, she never lets business come before what matters most - her family. Her rock-solid priorities are at the forefront of everything she does, and it makes a difference in how the public responds. People are impressed because she rides her shining star with grace and dignity while never looking down upon anyone.

What's next for Pittsburgh's sweetheart/supermom? Don't be a surprised if you see jennifer in syndication soon. Jennifer Antkowiak is one of those people who is destined for great things.

She was one of my favorite newscasters, hopefully she won't end up falling into that "every time we see her she is pregnant trap" that all the other female newscasters in the area seem to fall into. Maybe it's something in the water :]
