Jennifer Lopez Baby News: Pregnant with Twins

So Jennifer Lopez is reportedly pregnant, possibly with twins. The J.Lo pregnancy report came via US Weekly magazine this morning. If in fact Jennifer Lopez is pregnant, she will be the most recent of a slew of celebrities keeping quiet about their condition until the baby bump can no longer be hidden behind pillows and billowy dresses. Before fans get too excited about Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony's baby news they should probably stop and remember all the false alarms, these weekly tabloids and magazines have reported.

Baby Bump False Alarm #1- Demi Moore

In March of 2005 Star Magazine reported Demi Moore was expecting a child with husband, Ashton Kutcher. The baby that never was would have been the 4th child for Demi Moore, who has 3 girls with ex- husband Bruce Willis, and the 1st child for Ashton Kutcher. But, alas the baby news was apparently just a rumor.

Baby Bump False Alarm #2- Reese Witherspoon

In the summer of 2006 various magazines and tabloids reported that Reese Witherspoon was pregnant for the third time. Reese is the mother of two, daughter Ava, and son Deacon. Pictures of Reese wearing loose dresses and not sucking in her stomach while playing at the beach with her children fueled these unfounded rumors. Reese was in fact not pregnant at the time, and ended up separating from her allegedly cheating hubby, Ryan Philippe, soon there after.

Baby Bump False Alarm #3- Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes just gave birth to a daughter, Suri, with husband Tom Cruise in April of 2006, yet almost since little Suri left Katie's womb stories have been published about another impending birth. In June of 2007 British newspaper, The Sun, reported, yet again, that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise would soon be expanding their brood, yet 4 months later Katie is still sporting her skinny jeans.

Jennifer Lopez and other celebrities are certainly a major topic of interest in the tabloids when it appears they may be pregnant. Lately though, the tabloids have gotten several celebrity pregnancies rumors correct, including the pregnancies of Christina Aguilera and Nicole Ritchie. Only time will tell if Jennifer Lopez is expecting a baby, or as reported, two. News of Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony starting a family has been circulating for months now, perhaps it is true, or perhaps it is yet another baby bump false alarm caused by a loose fitting dress and one too many quesadillas.
