Jennifer Lopez Jokes About Sarah Palin, Finds Backlash from Palin Supporters

Jennifer Lopez Came Out to Give the Monologue on the George Lopez Show

Ryan Christopher DeVault
Jennifer Lopez made a Sarah Palin joke and is getting a lot of grief for it. Jennifer Lopez made a joke at the expense of Sarah Plain while doing the monolog for Lopez Tonight. The first joke was on the fans, who were expecting George Lopez to come out on stage, but suddenly the music started and Jennifer Lopez came out cracking late-night jokes. The first joke was of course a dig at the situation going on over at NBC, and it got quite a few laughs, as she insinuated that she was replacing George Lopez because she was a bigger star. The crowd loved it as she worked into a joke about Sarah Palin.

The heart of the joke by Jennifer Lopez about Sarah Palin was that she wasn't even the craziest person working over at Fox News. Sarah Palin had taken on her first broadcast working for Fox, and Jennifer Lopez said that Palin had a great experience because she was only the 5th or 6th craziest person around. It was a funny joke to the crowd, and wasn't even that bad of a joke. It was a word that Jennifer Lopez used to describe Sarah Palin that is getting more attention, as she used a negative Spanish connotation to denote how she felt about Sarah Palin and quite possibly her politics.

The fallout from this story, is that several people who don't watch Lopez Tonight, and most likely hadn't even heard about it, went up in arms about the jokes that Jennifer Lopez decided to tell. Now it seems that Lopez is in hot water from a lot of Republicans who aren't happy with what she had to say. Well it's one thing to make comments like that in an open forum or in a political juncture, but we are talking about a late night sketch where Jennifer Lopez merely gave her opinion about the ex-Governor from Alaska. It wasn't a joke that had much tact behind it, and it seems that Ms. Lopez is now suffering a blitz of bad publicity as a result.

Did you happen to catch the appearance by Jennifer Lopez on Lopez Tonight? If so, what were the opinions that you came away from the show with? Are you more or less enamored with Ms. Lopez? Or was the joke funny and in a place where nobody should even be worried about it in the political spectrum? If you want to take a look at it, we have posted it below so that you can view it and leave us your opinion on what took place.

Typical liberal. Imagine a conservative calling the first lady that. All she is doing is showing her stupidity.

Jennifer Lopez has jumped on the bandwagon of idiots to verbalize her opinion and let the world know what she thinks about Sarah Palin. She doesn't realize she has just joined the dozens of blithering idiots to hit the screen. She, just the like rest of them, can't just shut up and sing...or dance or get married - whatever it is she is doing these days. I've heard from alot of ex-Lopez fans.

I really liked her...another celeb that had to open her mouth. Can't they just entertain without cramming their hateful views onto us. Another celeb I will not watch again. OMG she is a young mother. Why did she have to lower herself to that? I really thought she was better than that.

Jennifer Lopez lost another fan. I've always liked her...she's very talented. I'm all for people expressing their opinions, no matter which side of the aisle you're on. However, her comment was mean and completely uncalled for. What has Sarah Palin ever done to deserve the hateful treatment she's receiving? What is wrong with these people? JLo is a mother....why would she say something so horrible, just because someone holds different opinion and values?? I guess liberals are only tolerant if you agree with them. Shame....

I think I can say with a great deal of confidence that Sarah Palin would never have said such a thing about jlo. Filthy name calling is not entertainment. She did it because she thinks she's entitled. I'm personnally getting pretty tired of the classless people in the entertainment world thinking they can do and say anything and it will be tolerated. People are still burning over "Hanoi Jane".

Too bad you are so unobservant, but there aren't any crazies at Fox News. If you had any intelligence, you would know that the crazies are at MSNBC. You couldn't find a more hateful bunch than Olbermann, Mathews, and their 10 cent bunch of reporters. Your problem is failure to identify intelligent people like O'Reilly, Hannity, Van Sustern, Beck. These people are all more intelligent and level headed than the shrieking harpies at MSNBC. As far a J LO is concerned, all you have to know is she was in "Gigli", one of the worst movies ever made. Ben Affleck has to be given credit for getting away from her.

You know darn well why people are upset, but just happened to leave that bit out! Why am I surprised!

Wow the comments are from some real crazies if you ask me.
