Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony Top Obama's White House Super Bowl XLV Guest List

POTUS Obama Invites Republicans, Democrats and Celebs to Super Bowl Sunday Bash

U.S. President Barack Obama is hosting a party on Super Bowl Sunday at the White House. Can you guess who is invited? Pop singer, actress and "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez and her husband, singer Marc Anthony, top the President's VIP guest list to watch the NFL's biggest game of the year at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in the nation's Capitol city.

Originally, Barack Obama, the President of the United States (POTUS), had hoped to fire up "Air Force One" and point the Presidential plan towards Dallas to attend Super Bowl XLV, but then the Chicago Bears did not make the cut. Because the President's hometown team is staying home, Obama will host a Super Bowl gathering in the White House instead.

Jennifer Lopez, who called the 44th U.S. President a "rock star" during his January 2009 Inauguration, appeared elated to be included in the Obamas' White House festivities for Super Bowl Sunday 2011. "I can't believe it," Jennifer Lopez exclaimed (on February 3). "I don't even feel it's real."

The Lopez-Anthony pop power couple (who recently shared an onscreen kiss during the "American Idol" audition taping in Austin, Texas) quickly made travel arrangements to attend the Presidential Super Bowl gathering in Washington, D.C. Of course, this is not their first visit to the White House, as Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony visited President Barack Obama in the Oval Office in September 2009.

Who's on President Obama's Super Bowl Sunday guest list, besides Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony?

When the Pittsburgh Steelers meet the Green Bay Packers at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for Super Bowl XLV on February 6, a bountifully bipartisan collection of VIPs will be watching from the White House with Barack and Michelle Obama.

The White House is expected to announce the official Super Bowl Sunday guest list on February 4, but several names have emerged as likely attendees. The roster of football fans and celebrants includes Presidential Cabinet members, U.S. Senators, U.S. Congressmen, a Midwestern Mayor and more.

Expected guests for the Obamas' Super Bowl Sunday gathering include Texas State Representative Rafael Anchia (D-103), U.S Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, U.S. Representative Reid Ribble (R-WI), U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) and U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk.

Milwaukee's Mayor and Green Bay Packer fan Tom Barrett is likely to attend the White House Super Bowl party, along with his son Tommy. Mayor Barrett (who lost the 2010 Wisconsin gubernatorial race to Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker) has said he will be packing some Usinger's and Klement's sausages from the Brew city for the White House gathering on Super Bowl Sunday 2011.

The First Couple, Michelle and Barack Obama, have reportedly taken delivery of three cases of beer from Green Bay's Hinterland Brewery, presumably for the Super Bowl Sunday fiesta. Included in the shipment were Amber Ale, Luna Stout and Pale Ale. So far, no one has indicated what provisions may have come to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue from the state of Pennsylvania.

During the Super Bowl Sunday party at the White House, the Presidential host is planning to break away from the gathering for a brief pre-game interview with Bill O'Reilly of Fox News.

President Obama has repeatedly said that he will remain neutral (like Switzerland) for Super Bowl XLV in 2011, as his favorite team will be absent. "Now that the Bears have lost, I got to stay neutral," the American President said recently. "Absolutely neutral on this one."

Within the past week, the U.S. Commander-in-Chief visited the home states of both Super Bowl XLV teams, as he stopped in both State College, Pennsylvania, and Manitowoc, Wisconsin. In both states, President Barack Obama received NFL jerseys for the Super Bowl contenders this year.

For the past two years, President Obama has hosted a Super Bowl Sunday gathering at the White House as well, including leaders from both sides of the proverbial aisle in the U.S. Capitol to watch NFL's big game.
