Jennifer Lopez Sex Tape Video Shouldn't See Light of Day

Chalk up one win for the girls....finally! It seems the Jennifer Lopez sex tape video will never see the light of day. That's the news for now in the Jennifer Lopez scandal. In fact, the Lopez sex tape video has been blocked by an L.A. court.

According to E! Online, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge awarded Lopez a temporary restraining order stopping the release of the sex tape video. Ojani Noa, the first husband of Lopez, allegedly sold the sex tape footage to his current girlfriend. The girlfriend, named Claudia Vazquez, was reportedly trying to get a major deal to sell and release the movie.

It seemed in the past few months that the release of the sex tape footage was inevitable. The sex tape video, which reportedly featured Lopez nude for 15-20 minutes, was closing in on becoming available to the general public.
It could have been a huge scandal for J-Lo-but it appears a judge is helping Lopez keep it off the shelves for now.

It seems that there has been little integrity as far as judges halting releases of such sex tape videos. Each time a scandal has emerged, it seemed the sex tapes wound up online or in stores ready to be sold. For once, maybe a recorded video of an intimate video containing nude images will be sacked before it goes up for sale. This isn't just a win for Lopez if the restraining order holds up. It could be a win for many people who had filmed sex tapes with their ex-husbands, wives or girlfriends and boyfriends. Perhaps this could be the precedent that would finally keep such videos with nude images from getting in the hands of the masses. The tapes weren't meant for distribution to the general public-so why should one party be allowed to sell the footage without consent of the other?

It has been a very disturbing trend to see such tapes released over the past few years. It's certainly made people wonder whether such releases were intentional or on purpose. Lopez obviously wants nothing to do with such a tape being released. And while it wasn't a brilliant idea to record such an event on tape, she shouldn't be punished for having it released without her okay.

One story estimated the alleged sex tape video would be worth millions. Maybe that's because Lopez is extremely famous. Not only does she command attention because of her recording career, J-Lo is now gathering an even larger fan base because of her stint as a judge on American Idol. In fact, she has become even more mainstream with her current existence on the FOX reality show competition-if that's possible. The release of a sex tape video probably would add more hype to the show and keep her name high on the buzz charts--but it's something she shouldn't have to deal with. She took her clothes off in front of her husband in a moment of intimacy-that's the way it should stay.
It's horribly unfair to either party to allow one of the people involved to get income from releasing a private moment.
