Jennifer Love Hewitt as a Prostitute in Lifetime Movie 'The Client List'

Jennifer Love Hewitt will be playing a prostitute in the Lifetime movie 'The Client List', following in the footsteps of Tori Spelling, who starred in 'Co-ed Call Girl', a movie about a college student paying her tuition by becoming a prostitute (this one wasn't originally a Lifetime movie, but can still be seen on the network). So does Jennifer Love Hewitt have what it takes to play a prostitute in 'The Client List'? Well, she's got pole dancing down, but I guess the pole would be more helpful for a stripper role.

My teenage self would have probably laughed at the idea of Jennifer Love Hewitt playing a prostitute in a Lifetime movie, seeing as how she was one of the celebrities I was most jealous of (next to Britney Spears) after my high school boyfriend drooled over her in 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' and 'Can't Hardly Wait'. And it would seem even more farfetched to me if someone told me that she'd be playing a woman that talks to ghosts in a TV series. But since her Audrey Hepburn and 'Party of Five' days, Jennifer Love Hewitt's career has kind of nose-dived, thanks to movies like terrible 'The Tuxedo' and 'Garfield' (the CGI animal/real life thing never works). It also hasn't helped that she's been attacked for her weight in the past (which I find completely ridiculous).

Jennifer Love Hewitt: In love with the stripper pole?

Like the other celebrity I was jealous of, Jennifer Love Hewitt has also been filmed pole dancing for 'The Ghost Whisperer' (Britney Spears worked the stripper pole in her music video for 'Gimme More'). Joining the ranks of many other female celebrities, she praises it as a good way to get in shape, telling Us Magazine that she took pole dancing lessons to help her prepare for her role as a prostitute in 'The Client List'. She even told the mag that her mother thought it was awesome that she was taking pole dancing lessons and playing a prostitute.

What is the story behind why Jennifer Love Hewitt becomes a prostitute in 'The Client List'?

In 'The Client List', Jennifer Love Hewitt will be playing a former homecoming queen who turns to prostitution in a desperate attempt to support her family through the recession (wouldn't becoming a stripper be a better idea?). Cybill Shephard will be playing the mother of the girl taking on the most recession-proof job there is, a career that takes Jennifer Love Hewitt's character on a real rollercoaster ride.

So will 'The Client List' be a hit or miss?

Well, Jennifer Love Hewitt is doing a decent job of drumming up publicity for her new movie, although she's still having to talk a lot more about her love life, trying to reassure us all that she's happy being single. She also recently revealed to the ladies of 'The View' that one of her exes (which include the likes of Jamie Kennedy, John Mayer, and Carson Daly) cheated on her. So perhaps the buzz she continues to create by talking about her love life (and that created by the cancellation of 'The Ghost Whisperer') will help bring more attention to the 'The Client List' (which will be debuting this summer), not that it needs it; Lifetime movies seem to always be fairly popular, especially if a recognizable name is attached to them.

While I still feel a little bad that Jennifer Love Hewitt's career has come down to her doing Lifetime movies (I've gotten over that who teen jealousy thing), I still think it would be great to see her pull off playing a prostitute, which could perhaps help her get her career back on track. To me the bubbly brunette is just as beautiful as ever, and I can't hardly wait to see where her career goes from here.
