Jenny from Frank the Entertainer VH1: The Real Reason Why She was Eliminated

Jamie Brown
If you're a VH1 reality TV show lover like me, surely you've seen an episode or two of Frank the Entertainer's (Frank Maresca's) new show (A Basement Affair). Well there seems to be a bit of controversy brewing regarding his recent elimination of beauty Jenny Jones (@VH1Jenny on Twitter).

Frank eliminated Jenny because she took a "sexy" photo, which was blurred out by VH1 cameras. The way the show presented the photo you would think Jenny was displaying three breasts instead of two!

It turns out that it was just a photo of her in a bra and t-shirt. See the picture here. Not too far off from what the other girls were wearing at the softball game early on in the episode, no?

Well here's my take on the matter. Since the previous episode, Frank has been picking at Jenny, trying to find any reason to exclude her from the bunch.

The real reason why Jenny was eliminated? Well it could be one of two reasons. 1) Frank was and is intimidated by her beauty and class or 2) Frank is intimidated by her "blackness." Now what do I mean by that?

Not only is Jenny stunningly gorgeous, she is also a dark-skinned black woman who clearly stands out from the bunch. She is not a light-skinned or bi-racial black woman as you may see more often on these types of shows or in television commercials.

Also, Jenny is a classy woman. She refused to throw herself at Frank like some of the other girls did. She didn't fit a stereotype of a jezebel-like black woman, over-sexualized for his pleasure.

Maybe someone like Frank Maresca cannot handle a woman of her looks and caliber. The other girls were intimidated by her as well, as seen at the beginning of the episode when one of the girls picks her brain to try to "dig something up on her."

Another theory: maybe this was a way for Frank to get back at New York in some way for eliminating him for being a bum who lives in his parent's basement all those months ago?

Regardless of the real reason why Jenny from Frank the Entertainer was eliminated, in my opinion, this is yet another sad display from reality TV show producers and "actors." They added a token minority to the show, then came up with a simply ridiculous reason for eliminating her. I will no longer be watching, because I just don't like the way Frank and his family treated this nice girl as a person.

What do you think?

First off let me say that it's silly to make this racial. It's got nothing to do with race. Frank got his foot in the door on "I Love New York" which starred New York (Tiffany Pollard)who is a black woman. Not light skinned either. Frank obviously isn't concerned with the skin color of the woman he wants to date.
Also, Jenny was most likely just like most of these women - just after some publicity. That is what I think Frank was worried about when he kept saying "what's she here for?" She showed him no interest. She only wanted enough time on the show to make herself seen to further her own career.

Seriously something shady was going on there! She was the prettiest one there and the classiest one too. I cant think of anything else other than that she was eliminated because she is African-American. We all saw how extremely ANNOYING Frank's mom is so I believe she had something to do with this

I was extremely outraged from watching Frank the Entertainer. Eliminating Jenny made no sense to me. The perception these women who come on reality shows like this one is that they are desperate and anything goes just so they can get what they want. Clearly Jenny was very reserved, thought highly of herself, and really didnt have to go on such a degrading show. Frank the entertainer obvisouly is not that bright. He had these women outside playing softball dressed like strippers and porno stars. Jenny takes a sexy picture of herself and she gets eliminated. I feel like Frank his mom and dad have issues with a person of a different racial background. Frank did not want Jenny on the show because she was a black women. I watched closely how Frank ignored Jenny the entire time she was there. I am a very diverse liberal minded person.
