Jenny Slate Fired?: A SNL F-Bomb Sparks Rumors

Jenny Slate fired rumors are flying through the internet after the infamous SNL f-bomb this past Saturday night. Jenny Slate fired rumors started after the comedian inadvertently swore during a skit she was performing with Megan Fox. This was the moment that the SNL f-bomb went down in history.

Jenny Slate fired rumors started because swearing on network television is a very big deal. In some instances, the FCC can levy hefty fines on the network airing the vulgar language. According to College News, "the f-bomb came after 12:40 a.m. on the East coast and was well passed prime time, so they are not expected to be fined by the FCC."

However, NBC does recognize that the SNL f-bomb was a very big deal. According to Radar Online, while SNL aired live on the EastCoast, producers bleeped Slate's mistake with "freakin'" for West Coast airings. "No truth to firing conjecture," NBC spokeswoman Sharon Pannozzo said. "She will not be fired." Still, show executives were less than thrilled about Slate's slip, and had a big meeting after the show; a source told the New York Daily News.

Perhaps Jenny Slate should audition for a role in a HBO series? They have absolutely no problem dropping an f-bomb here, there, and everywhere. If Jenny Slate was fired, the fact she's comfortable using the f-word on air should make HBO producers drool.

What is the hangup on the f-word? Of course, the SNL f-bomb isn't something that I would want a young child to repeat. However, words slip from time to time and it shows you just how uptight our society is when they can't get over things such as the SNL f-bomb and Jenny Slate fired rumors.

There have been many incidences of the f-bomb being dropped on live television. The fact that everyone gets their panties in a wad whenever it happens is unfortunate. I mean - come on. Jenny Slate was playing the role of a biker chick who said "freakin'" a lot.

What do you think a real-life biker chick would say? Freakin', or the f-bomb?

Jenny Slate was not present at the swanky after party. She probably went home with visions of headlines reading "Jenny Slate Fired after SNL F-Bomb." Although NBC has handled the situation well, a lot of individuals think that she should be fired for using that type of language.

I don't think so. We all say it from time to time out of anger, frustration, or because we are shocked by something.
