Jeremy A. Kitchen, 32 of Gower MO is Ejected from Truck and Dies on Scene

Driver was Not Wearing a Seat Belt at Time of Accident

On December 15, 2009, at approximately 3 O'clock in the morning, Jeremy A. Kitchen, 32, of Gower, MO lay victim of a single vehicle accident that caused his death. He was driving his 1993 Ford F-250 on US 169 approximately 6 miles south of St. Joseph in Buchanan County. At 3:00 a.m., Jeremy was traveling Southbound on 169 when he traveled off the west side of the roadway, struck a telephone pole, and began to overturn. Jeremy wasn't wearing a seat belt and he was ejected from the vehicle. Jeremy's truck was lying on the top facing east when emergency crews arrived at the scene. Buchanan County Coroner, Dr. Cathcart pronounced him dead at the scene at 5:30 a.m. Next of kin was notified and his body was taken to the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower.

    I am so very sorry to Jeremy's 3 young boys and the rest of his family. Jeremy was a good friend and had such a loving way about him. He never really met a stranger. He will be dearly missed. My prayers and blessings are with all of you. Stacy S.
