But Radar Online contacted the Palm Springs police who say they never said any such thing. Detective Steve Douglas said 'There haven't been any incidents that I can recall of gang members kidnapping tourists with flat tires and then forcing them to do drugs."
The 37 year old actor claims he was changing his flat tire outside a Jack-in-the-Box on June 10 when three men offered to help him. He then offered them a lift home and was robbed and forced to smoke dope. Jeremy London managed to escape around 2 a.m.
One suspect, Brandon Adams, 26, was arrested and locked up on charges including strong-arm robbery, kidnapping and carjacking, but has pleaded not guilty. The other two suspects have not been apprehended. Adams is being represented by an attorney named Gregory Geist who has already put forward information indicating that there was no kidnapping and no coercion involved in any drug use by Jeremy London.
As more strange details emerge, Adams' attorney may be correct in his belief that the jury will find the entire affair too incredible to believe. The latest reports claim that London's wife was in the car, but the "kidnappers" dropped her at home before absconding with her husband and the car.
Radar Online also reported that a serious complication for Jeremy London is the fact that he has been involved in a custody dispute. He and his wife have both been required to submit to random drug testing in order to regain custody of their 3 year old son, Lynk, who is being cared for by his grandmother.
Even stranger, the whole thing sounds like a storyline straight out of the HBO Series "Six Feet Under." In "That's My Dog," (Season 4, Episode 5) , the character David Fisher is carjacked and forced to smoke crack cocaine.
If the idea for the whole Jeremy London kidnapping came from the "Six Feet Under" series, it's just as possible the perpetrators were the ones watching the show. I would at least hope that was the case because if it comes out that London made the whole thing up, just for starters, he'll be in deep trouble for providing false information to the police.

Post a CommentOh yes, it is that Six Ft. Under storyline. Curiouser and curiouser. Must be the same robbers who took Charlie Sheen's car, twice. I think they made him drink alcohol, yes?
This case keeps getting more interesting.
Tis a world far from my daily struggles. Good one.
@Mark -- idk, but seems irrelevant since none of the charges (click on the link) are about the drugs
I wonder how he would be able to prove whether he was forced to do drugs or did so on his own? His word against the kidnappers?
Didn't know the back story such as the random drug testing..interesting HBO connection Valerie. I always enjoy your reporting!
Messed up for sure, but if there's one thing I've learned is that the truth sometimes is far-fetched. Sad story if this really happened.
hmmmm...i don't know; something stinks about this story, that's for sure!
