I always liked Ben Stone (Michael Moriarty) a lot better than his successor Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston). Yes, as Asst. D.A.'s, detectives and other characters came and went, I had my favorites like everyone else: Logan (Chris Noth), Briscoe (Jerry Orbach), Alexandra Borgia (Annie Parisse), Lt. Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson), to name a few.
My current favorite as the sun sets on "Law & Order" is Det. Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto).
As I watched the final episode, I wondered where and what Jeremy Sisto will be appearing in after "Law & Order." Will he get in another TV series or does he have any movies coming out? And that's what I love about the internet -- you don't have to wonder, you can go find out.
He does have a movie called "Sironia" coming out next year, in which he plays the character of Tucker. There really is a place named Sironia, Texas and also a book, "Sironia, Texas" (1952) by Madison Cooper which was awarded the distincton of being the longest English novel at an estimated 1.1 million words ever written by Time Magazine.
According to IMDB, the film is about "A singer-songwriter beat up by the L.A. music machine who moves with his wife to Sironia, Texas." There are several female characters listed before Sisto, so at this point it's not clear which one is playing his wife. I'll take a stab at it and say it's probably the lead character, Grace, played by Carrie Preston.
Also according to IMDB, It is currently filming in Waco, TX, but according to Jeremy Sisto's twitter feed, he was appearing at a gig in NYC 10 days ago.
I have never heard Jeremy sing, although I have seen him in music videos, such as Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It," (when he was young), and Maroon 5's "Wake-Up Call" where he played the guy Adam Levine has to shoot dead because Jeremy is being a bad boy with Adam's girlfriend. There is also a youtube online showing Jeremy jamming with G. Love at Sundance in 2007.
They just announced on the local news that since Law & Order was only canceled about 10 days ago, the show's producers were not aware the episode shown tonight was going to be the final episode. NBC says it will continue talks about doing some kind of offcial send-off episode or movie for next season.
In the meantime, Jeremy Sisto appears to be making the move from T.V. actor to acting on the big screen but I'd bet that he will be in whatever they cook up for the official send-off next year.

Post a CommentI think they made too many different variations of Law And Order, it's time for a change. They even made a London one, but I only saw 2 episodes, don't know if it is still going. A great show for a while, wonder what all the stars will be doing next?
I like the original Law & Order, too--and Jeremy Sisto. Interesting the way you wrote this--very "new media" oriented.
I've always liked Jeremy Sisto, especially his role as Brenda's mentally unstable brother in Six Feet Under.
Interesting. I like him also.
