Jergens Natural Glow vs Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Body Glow Sunless Tanner

If you're like me, you don't want to go into the summer months with pasty white skin, looking like you've never seen the sun! If your concerned about the health of your skin (and not looking like a lizard in 30 years) tanning beds may not be a viable option for you. A great way to get a great tan year-round, without worrying about serious damage to your skin, is to use self tanners. Back in the dark ages, before there were moisturizers with self-tanner on the market, I used to mix spray-on self-tanner with lotion to prevent the tell-tale streaks of spray-on tanner. Once tinted moisturizers became available, I was all over them!

If you've tried self-tanners before, you know that even the best of them can leave you looking orange... like an oompa-loompa... which is probably not the look you were going for. I've found that using a gradual tanner like Jergens Natural Glow or Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Body Glow can cut way down on Orange hues. In fact, with either of those brands I have never experienced the dreaded self-tanner-oranginess. Both Jergens Natural Glow and Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Body Glow are gradual in their tanning effects and take about a week of daily use to reach their full darkening effects and come in 3 different darkening levels to match any skin tone. Jergens Natural Glow is my favorite self-tanning moisturizer. I use the body moisturizer on my arms and legs and the facial moisturizer (which also has an SPF 30 sunblock -- always important to wear!) on my face. Jergens Natural Glow body moisturizer is a light but effective moisturizer which leaves your skin moisturized but not at all greasy. The self-tanner is gradual, so it's not like your painting a tan on. I use it once a day, like any other moisturizer and rub it into my skin using circular motions and always end-up with an even, natural looking tan. After a week of daily use, you can really see the difference! Jergens Natural Glow is a little more expensive than some other moisturizing self-tanner brands, but in my opinion you definitely get more bang for your buck!

As I mentioned earlier, Jergens Natural Glow is a little more expensive than some other brands. So, seeing the fore mentioned similarities between Jergens Natural Glow and Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Body Glow and the slight price difference, I decided to give Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Body Glow a try. If you've used any other Vaseline product, you know that they are great moisturizers for very dry skin. If, however, your skin is not very dry and you are looking more for a non-streaky self-tanner and less for an intensive moisturizer, Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Body Glow may be a little too heavy and greasy for you. After having used Jergens Natural Glow moisturizer for so long, I was a little disappointed with Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Body Glow's self-tanner. While it did eventually tint my skin a little, the results were nothing like what I got with Jergens.

All-in-all while Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Body Glow is slightly more inexpensive, for all their similarities, Jergens Natural Glow is a superior product. Jergens Natural Glow leaves your skin moisturized without feeling greasy or heavy, it gradually darkens your skin for a truly natural looking glow without being orange or streaky at all. If your looking for a great sunless tanner to get yourself ready for warmer weather - Jergens Natural Glow is the way to go!
