The Bronx Zoo's Holiday Lights

Date: November 17 to January 7, 2008 (closed December 24-25)
Time: 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Price: $10.00 (children 3 to 12), $12.00 (65 and over) and $14.00 (adults)
Holiday Lights at the Bronx Zoo promises you no less than half a million lights for all visitors to enjoy. Everything from beautiful Christmas sculptures to animals such as dinosaurs! Bring the children along because fun holiday activities are planned such as ice carving as well as story telling. It's great for the whole family. If driving by car, take the George Washington Bridge to I-95 and then to Exit 4B. You'll then be looking for Bronx River Pkwy North where you will get off at exit 6 and will be able to enter the Bronx Zoo at Gate B.
Lincoln Center's Holiday Tree Lighting
Location: Josie Robertson Plaza, Lincoln Center, 30 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY, 10023
Date: November 26th
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Price: FREE
The lighting of the 50 foot Colorado Blue Spruce tree in Lincoln Center will surely be a sight to see this year. Visitors who are lucky enough to attend this special holiday event will also have the opportunity to see the New York City Ballet perform. Their productions
include Hansel and Gretel as well as The Nutcracker. This rare event will also be shown on live television. If you are bringing the kids, you might want to get there before 5:00 p.m. because spruce saplings will be handed out to the first 500 children near the Plaza's inner roadway.
Grand Central's Kaleidoscope Light Show
Location: Grand Central, 42nd Street and Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017
Date: November 30 to January 1, 2008
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (the light shows run every half hour)
Price: FREE
Now here is something spectacular that anyone can enjoy and it's free which you can't beat! This amazing crowd pleaser known as the Kaleidoscope Light Show is coming once again to Grand Central. These incredible audiovisuals appear on the main concourse for all to bask in its glory!
