Jersey Shore Strike Ends with MTV and More Money Per Episode

The strike between the cast of the hit MTV reality show Jersey Shore and the network appears to be over after a last minute negotiation gave the entire cast a figure close to what they were asking for per episode.

But cast memeber JWOWW claims the fued with the network, and salary drama, never happened.

Jenni "JWOWW" Farley said in an exclusive interview with Steppin' Out magazine that the MTV show's cast never went on strike. That contradicts MTV's statement that the cast returned to the set to shoot season three after negotiations ended for the first time since the entire cast did not show up to work over a contract dispute.

In a statement the network said, "MTV is pleased that the 'Jersey Shore' cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3."

Cast members Pauly D, JWOWW, Ronnie, Sammi and Vinny reportedly held up production of Season 3 after asking for $30,000 per episode and MTV refused to negotiate. The cast said they wanted the extra money after MTV decided to split the season into two parts to be filmed in Miami and Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

According to sources with the network MTV eventually offered the cast a number close to their asking price.

The cast members were reportedly back on the set on Wednesday. Entertainment Weekly is confirming that Angelina Pivarnick will not be returning to Jersey Shore.

In the Steppin' Out interview JWOWW said that the two-day strike was an "untrue rumor." She also said, "You have to laugh at crazy reports like that. Stories about strikes and things make us all laugh."

She also said she called fellow cast-mate Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi when US Weekly and Star Magazine started reporting the rumors about the strike. JWOWW said neither Snooki or other members of the cast knew what was going on.

The second season of "Jersey Shore" is set to premiere on July 29.
