Jersey Shore's Situation to Join Dancing with the Stars, Bachelorette Ali, Fiance Considering DWTS

Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino will join ABC's hit show Dancing with the Stars Season 11 lineup this fall. Sorrentino, in fact, stands to make a lot of money this year, somewhere in the neighborhood of $5 million according to a report by TV Squad, and that's before his sting with DWTS.

With an autobiography "Here's the Situation" in the works and a nice little six figure advance in his hand, his $60,000 per episode after bonuses on Jersey Shore, endorsements deals with a new line of vodka, to name just a few, Sorrentino has struck it rich in Hollywood.

But what everyone really wants to know is if Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino can dance? Will he be as hot on the dance floor as he is in the money-making department?

Derek Hough, a veteran dancer on DWTS, added his two cents about Mike's appearance during Season 11 saying, "It's people like that who come on the show who people will tune in and watch because either it will be a travesty or it will be interesting to see somebody turn something completely around so I'm up for anybody."

According to OK! Hough also told them at the Creative Emmys Saturday in L.A. "For me it's classic entertainment, it's fun. Whatever gets people talking and tuning in is interesting to watch."

Another name that is currently swirling around on the rumor mill for the lineup of DWTS is Ali Fedotowsky and her fiancé, Roberto Martinez. While they have not signed any final contracts, OK! Magazine says there is a "strong rumor" that the pair will join the cast and are in fact, in the contracts phase right now.

And why shouldn't Ali and Roberto join the lineup? The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka joined Season 10 and his then fiancé, Vienna Girardi, danced on one episode, although no one is sure why, and of course, Melissa Rycroft (from Jason Mesnick's season of The Bachelor) danced during Season 8 of DWTS.

Some may have suspected, however, that Ali had every intention of joining the cast of DWTS when she told OK! that she wanted to join. The question, however, is why would Roberto join when there are plenty of stars out there that are more well-known?

Nonetheless, whoever fills the coveted roles on Dancing with the Stars, it will surely continue to be a hit show.
