Jerusalem

Walton S. Tissot
From six days unending
Judean climb annexation
A lofty presumption
Rank and filed in set due course
Burdened truths angled by station

Six days ever never-ending
Blending libels until they stick
Burning burnt and blackened
Through and through for the paper view
Non-recognition and the laws of man

I never thought of this scene in relation to Jerusalem, only Jericho, as they walked round and round for 6 days, and on the 7th the walls fell. Well, quite likely I remember the story all wrong, but it still pleases me.:-) (Thanks for the butterfly comment)

You use a very nice oxymoron in the first line of the second stanza to continue the ongoing situation.
