Jesse James Kat Von D Dating Brings About Mixed Feelings

Jesse James and Kat Von D are dating, and that brings up mixed feelings. Jesse James recently finalized his divorce from Sandra Bullock, and Kat Von D the famous star tattoo artist recently confirmed her relationship with the Monster Garage Star.

The last several years of Jesse James' life has been lived in the tabloids. Sandra Bullock was the one ray of sunshine - his redeeming quality. Although Kat Von D is a sweet girl, she hasn't captured the hearts of Americans quite like "The Blind Side" actress.

James has a young daughter, Sunny - whose mother is an adult film star. Janine Lindemulder is her mom, and Jesse James and Sandra Bullock were entwined in a brutal custody battle for her. Sunny still lives with her dad.

There was Lindemulder's court case over tax related offenses, of which Jesse James testified against her. There was the typical back-and-forth in the glossy gossip magazines.

But Sandra stood tall, proud, and classy. And that made Jesse James look classy.

Enter Michelle "Bombshell" McGee - the tattoo model/stripper. In a classless move that was full of self promotion, McGee came forward with affair allegations that claimed she and Jesse James were having a relationship when Bullock was filming the Blindside.

The end result was that Jesse James issued a public apology, went to sex rehab - but it was too late. Like Elin Nordegren, Sandra Bullock has better fish to fry than trying to work it out with a serial cheater. Little did we know at the time, but Bullock had a baby - little Louis - with whom she lives in New Orleans.

The small African American boy is the love of her life - and in some ways, her relationship with Jesse James brought her to her one true love of motherhood.

Jesse James - for someone who claimed to be "heartbroken" over losing Sandra was quick to move on. He picked someone that the rest of the world could picture him with - Kat Von D.

And Kat may be the woman for him, but she's still much younger. She's a lot of drama, too. Anyone who watches her show knows she's highly sensitive, a little indecisive, but amazingly talented.

Maybe Jesse James will be her anchor. Then again, maybe he will be her downfall. She may be excited to be in a relationship with him now, but will that excitement be short lived? It will be interesting to see.
