According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jessica was driving a 1995 Ford F250 Pickup when she lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and ran off the right side of the interstate. When she overcorrected, the vehicle then crossed over the highway to the left of the interstate and struck a concrete median barrier. The truck overturned, partially ejecting the driver who was not wearing her seat belt.
Jessica was pronounced "dead at the scene" by Jackson County Medical Examiner, Chris Mancini. Her body was taken to Jackson County Medical Examiners Office.
