Jessica Simpson is considering breast reduction surgery. The well-endowed actress turned country singer has pretty much decided against surgery, but if she did, you'd expect that her dad, a ex-minister would be encouraging. Instead, he bragged about his daughter's ample chest.
Joe Simpson borders on stalker slash pedophile slash creep anyway. He takes pictures of his Jessica and Ashlee and sells them. What parent does that? About the breast reduction, Papa Simpson quipped "Jessica never tries to be sexy. If you put her in a T-shirt or you put her in a bustier, she's sexy in both. She's got double Ds! You can't cover those suckers up!"
It's one of those "he did not just say that, did he? Facepalm!", comments. My toes curled with embarrassment when I read it. I can't imagine how Jessica felt hearing it. And from her dad? A comment like that, from another adult is insensitive. From a minister, former or practicing, it's inappropriate. From a father, it's bizarre and almost incestuous. Please pass the Xanax, Maalox and brain sanitizer.
Large breasts may be fun for men to look at and contemplate touching. Large breasts are no picnic for the poor woman who has to lug them around. They're not nicknamed "two watermelons in a downhill race" for nothing. They are heavy. They're a pain in the neck (and the back and the shoulders) literally. Breast reduction is a serious surgery, not a joke.
People have accused Simpson of capitalizing on her big breasts and getting parts because of them. Well, why not. Might as well get some benefit from them.
