Jessica Simpson and John Mayer Call It Quits

Matters of the heart are never easy. We all know that breaking up is hard to do. But what happens when those whose relationship was volatile and rocky from the very start? Is breaking up harder for those who do it on a weekly basis? It's that time again, People Magazine reports.

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have once again officially called it quits and supposedly, this time is it. Then again, every time they seem to call it quits for good so who can tell other than the two of themselves?

A source close to John Mayer told People Magazine that his close to a year relationship with Simpson is "definitely over" and that whatever it was romantically that the two of them had "has ended." The source also went on by telling People Magazine that their relationship had been "rocky" and still remains "rocky" even with the two of them at the end of their romantic road.

Sources on Jessica Simpson's side confirm that the romance is done for but continue on by telling People Magazine that the door remains open for the two to reunite.

A source on team Jessica also went on to tell People Magazine that, "They broke up Sunday night but who knows what the future will hold. This is the twelfth time they've broken up. Their relationship is volatile. Last week they felt better than ever. This week, things are rocky. Who knows what the future will bring."

Mayer who is 29 years old and Simpson who is younger at 26 have been together approximately a year or so in the romantic sense although they were rather secretive about their romantic involvement until recent.

This isn't the first time that the two of them had thrown in the towel and split, it was only about a month or so ago that they ended their relationship publically and officially but then a mere few days later the two appeared to have reconciled after a lot of emailing and talking.

The Mayer source also said that although the couple tried to make their romantic involvement with one another work, it's finally over. The source also said that in attempts to "talk over things," the couple spent time together in New York and Cabo San Lucas.

Is there any logical reason behind their most recent split? The Mayer source told People Magazine that every relationship shares it's differences but with Simpson and Mayer, the differences became more and more apparent.
