"It was about that moment of desperation. I needed to breathe."- Jessica Simpson expressed in her interview with Elle Magazine that pondering on these particular statements, from the 2004 amorous hit motion picture, "The Notebook", triggered her decision to finally end her publicized three-year marriage with singer Nick Lachey.

Nick and Jessica, who were the main cast of MTV's sensational reality series, The Newlyweds, hit the headlines when Jessica filed for divorce two years ago. Nick Lachey was allegedly caught off guard with Jessica Simpson's abrupt decision.

Jessica Simpson finally went out in the open regarding her ex-husband's come back to the dating scene after their much publicized divorce. In Elle Magazine's interview with the mesmerizing young blonde, Jessica admitted that she was hurt when ex-hubby Nick Lachey went back to the world of dating just weeks after their highly broadcasted separation. Nick Lachey's paparazzi snapshots with Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari hit the tabloids not long after the couple announced their divorce. As of the moment, the hunky singer is allegedly dating MTV host Vanessa Minnillo, who both hit it off when the hot babe starred in Nick Lachey's music video. However, rumors have it that Vanessa got infuriated upon seeing a gorgeous young blonde sitting on Nick's lap. The recent rumor sounds like Nick's going to be facing another adieu from his newest relationship.

On the other hand, Jessica is said to be dating talented singer/songwriter John Mayer. The Elle Magazine March cover girl opts to remain silent with regard to the issue. She states that she has learned from the past, wherein their Newlyweds show with MTV publicized her marriage with Nick, that privacy is an important aspect for a relationship to thrive.

At present, the ex-couple, Jessica and Nick, still talk to each other and are very much in good terms.

People would often say that forgetting someone you've loved is analogous to remembering someone you've forgotten. Jessica's reaction to Nick's current dating schemes is highly understandable. When a person falls in love with someone, a love which was built on high grounds, it really is a hard task to get over that someone. Moreover, accepting that they'll someday belong to someone else is an even much harder task. But that's life. The unstoppable reality is that in an individual's life, people will always come and go. It's just a matter of attaching value and importance to the time gap between the "come" and "go" part. It is said that the "break-up" isn't the hardest chapter in concluding a relationship, it's the "moving on" that's difficult to do. It's hard to walk away from someone you've shared a part of your life with. However, just like what Jessica Simpson has shown, it's the only way to continue living and to become a stronger individual

In the frenzied world of Hollywood, it is a big struggle for a marriage to succeed. That's why trust, respect and loyalty must always be in the front seat of any Hollywood couple who want their relationship to withstand time.
