Jessica Simpson's Halloween Surprise

Jessica Simpson finally confirmed that she was pregnant via Twitter on Halloween. If you were unaware of Simpson's announcement, that might be because the announcement was slightly overshadowed by Kim Kardashian announcing on the same day that she plans on divorcing hubby Kris Humphries after only a couple months of marriage. Although I would much rather hear the good news of a pregnancy announcement than to see a marriage fall apart, especially after only a short period of time.

Simpson cutely revealed her pregnancy, which had already been rumored, via a link on Twitter that led fans to her website JessicaSimpson.com. In keeping with the Halloween spirit, she posted a picture of her dressed as a mummy while holding her belly with a statement above that read "It's True! I am going to be a mummy!" This will be the first child for Simpson and her fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson.

Simpson will now join fellow singer Beyonce Knowles, who in similar fashion, announced in August 2011 at the MTV Video Music Awards that she was pregnant by rubbing her belly after a performance. Belly rubbing seems to be a popular way for celebrities to reveal to the world that they are pregnant without actually having to spell it out.
