Jesus Christ: The True Messiah

Jesus Christ is the Messiah

Charisse Van Horn
Jesus is salvation from the Father's outstretched arm. He is the Son of God and the Son of Man. He is Immanuel- God with us. The very meaning of the name, Immanuel shows that Jesus Christ is deity.
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (KJV)

Jesus' birth fulfilled countless prophecies. There is no need to look further than Jesus Christ for the Messiah. If you are wondering, waiting, or searching for the Messiah, there is no need to continue looking, Jesus fulfilled these prophecies concerning the coming Messiah:

He is a descendent of Abraham
He is a descendent of Isaac
He is a descendent of Jacob
He descended from the tribe of Judah
He was born in Bethlehem
He was born of a virgin
Infants were slaughtered
He escaped to Egypt as a child
He ministered in Galilee and along the Jordan River
The Jewish people rejected him
He had the character of wisdom and understanding
His triumphant entry on a donkey in Jerusalem was prophesied to the day
A close friend betrayed him
He was sold for thirty pieces of silver
The money was returned and used to buy the potters field
He was silent during His trial
He suffered for others
He was crucified with sinners
His feet and hands were pierced
He was mocked and insulted by the people
He was given gall and vinegar to drink
His side was pierced with a spear
Soldiers cast lots for His clothes
None of His bones were broken
He was buried in a rich man's tomb
He resurrected after His death
He ascended into heaven

Jesus was born so that all nations might be saved. He is salvation in human form. His sacrifice upon the cross did away with the blood of lambs, calves, and goats once and for all.
From the time Adam and Eve fell, all mankind was slave to sin, death, and the grave. Man could only enter into a relationship with God the Father through the righteous acts of the law.

How God loves us. He knew that we would be as unfaithful today as the children of Israel were wandering through the desert for 40 years, yet he still died for us. Is there any deeper love that can be expressed?
God took of Himself, the Word of God, and through His Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, the virgin. In that glorious act, God provided the substitute for all of mankind's sin. Jesus is fully God, for He is the Word of God made flesh. He is also human. He was born through the Davidic, kingly line to Mary and her husband Joseph. He is the lion, our King and he is the lamb- the sacrificial lamb that was slain. He is the eternal Son of the Father for He is the only one begotten of the Father. He is higher than the angels for He is above all. God the Father took the Holy Spirit and birthed His Word (logos) into the womb of a virgin girl.
He loves us compassionately, sacrificially, and unreservedly. He bore the pain of human suffering so that He could heal our wounds. He took guilt and shame and sinfulness upon Himself on the cross, so that we might have freedom, liberty, and eternal life. He was born so that we might be born again - born from above. This is the great exchange that God gives to those who are called by His name. He gives beauty for ashes, life in exchange for death, peace in exchange for loss. Whatever you need, you can find in Jesus Christ, the True Messiah!

Jesus is the Messiah, He is the Son of God, and there is no other. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and without Him there is no resurrection from the dead. Without His blood, there is no atonement for our sins. He is the mediator between Holy God and sinful man. Jesus is the light of the world, He is the bread from heaven, and only those who partake in His bread (His body) and drink of His wine (His blood) shall see eternal life.
Hallelujah, the Messiah has come and has paid the price. I am forgiven!

I agree 100*/* But Revertive below is wrong. Jesus is God in the flesh and Muslims see Jesus not as God but a prophet. This makes us completely divided.

While I reject the divinity of Jesus and the crucifixion of Jesus, I do agree that he is the Messiah. Muslims and Christians alike wait for the day when Jesus will return and destroy the false religions, destroy the anti-Christ, and lead all of us in salat (prayer) to Allah.

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the bble made up of 66 books that are copies of copies of copies. Not one original book is left.

The Sumerians and Dogon have their creation stories written in stone, but they're dismissed as myth...

Says a lot for humans I think.
