Jesus Freaks! Can We Live with or Without Them in Today's Complicated Society?

Phillip W. Chambley
As a day by day TRUE Christian and honest believer of the teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe that the bible can help people to cope with everyday life as human beings. But, for some people they can also mis-interpret these teachings and readings that are found in the bible which can possibly lead to something bad or even destructive in their lifes.

These people are called "Jesus Freaks" or "Jesus Soldiers" Do these people really understand the meaning of the bible? Or have they just simply lost their minds and any common sense of day to day reality? Is this is a NEW drug they are experiencing for the first time in life? Could this be a new outlet to relieve their frustrations and take it out on other people? Are these people simply hiding behind their religion, because they have problems with chronic depression and this is their way to cope with general everyday life?

It's truly amazing how some of these people can be successful business persons one day and then the next day they are literally chasing you down in the street and explaining how "Jesus Christ" can be so much better in your life! Even if you tell them you are already a TRUE Christian believer. They don't seem to want to listen?

It's as though they are on some kind of drug? My minister has told me that it's because these people are experiencing the beauty of Jesus Christ for the first times in their life, but should eventually wear off after so many years. The problem is how many years does it take after they have literally destroyed friendships, family members and even church members with these harmful verbal abuse attacks against people they used to love and care about before they became religious year after year?

I've actually seen some of these people tell lifetime TRUE Christians that they were sinners! Even tho, these people have lived their entire lives living by the teachings of the bible and also tried their very best to help other human beings in their everyday lives as told by the teachings and preachings as told by the bible and Jesus Christ.

Ironically, most of these "Jesus Freaks" NEVER listen to a word you a trying to say to to them? Personally, I believe they need some help because they could be possible be experiencing some sort of trauma that they just can't figure about what to do in their lives? "How do we communicate with these people especially if they are causing a terrible disturbance and even sometimes violent threats within the church or amongst family members gathering.

These loved ones show up for family events, such as birthdays, Christmas parties, the birth of your children at the hospital, family church events, death in the family at funeral homes, and constantly preach the words of the bible over and over causing confusion among family members. Calling these people on the phone "seems to be a joke also" They still want to tell you about the teachings of the bible. If they have had bad day, or they just don't feel good, they seem to pick out "devil scriptures" listed in the bible and ramble on and on forever.

Trying to talk to these "Jesus Freaks" in person about the bible is literally impossible? The reason why is because they always want to compete with you about the bible scriptures and how they have interpreted them. You can argue with these people for hours, and they just don't seem to care about anything except for their final findings listed in the bible because they are experts.

Unfortunately, this article is written and based about my father, whom I still love and care about so much even after his 14 years of religion.

Thanks for reading,

Phillip Chambley.
