War Rages On
Jesus is the Victory
War rages on in the battlefield of my mind.
Thoughts hurl their lies at me to beset this front line.
But the Commander-in-Chief knows the only way to win
And I'll see the victory if I only abide in Him.
Oh enemy, what could you do? Where would you hide?
God knows all your strongholds and knocks them aside!
He sees all your armament and knows all your dreams,
But He's one step ahead of all your wicked schemes.
You cannot win, Satan, for you've tried to stand against God,
But through Calvary's Light your land has been trod.
No weapon you have will prosper this day,
For the Lord Jesus Christ took all your power away.
You can hide in your bunker and send the innocent to die,
But the Lord of lords hears those who cry.
So surrender, oh Satan, you haven't got one chance,
for the Army of the Lord has orders to advance!
Give up your prisoners. Let the oppressed go free.
Jesus has conquered your dominion on that hill Calvary.
Your days are numbered. The end is so near.
The Captain of the host is standing right here
to destroy all your weapons and let His people go free,
and all the world will know - Jesus is the victory!
