Jetix: a Great Channel for Kids by Disney

Chris Tidwell
There are hardly any kids channels I would recommend, but one stood out on a recent visit with my younger brothers. Jetix is a channel devoted to nothing but cartoons and kids shows produced by Disney, but I was impressed by the lineup of good classic shows and the addition of some really good programming.

Jetix hosts a variety of cartoons and live action shows that will appeal to any child, even to some adults. They have simple shows that will entertain the vary young, like Team Hyper Force Monkey Go, a cartoon and Jetix original based on a team of super hero monkys, and will appeal to adults with classics like The Tick, and Power Rangers.

I can remember being young and watching the old Power Ranger show before school every day and now my younger brothers and their generation can do the same. Jetix also hosts the newer Power Rangers to keep up with the times. Jetix showcases a lot of older cartoons that I was impressed with like the original X-men cartoon show as well as Spiderman. These shows are what defined Saturday morning in my day, and it's nice to see them again.

Jetix also hosts some of Disney's spin off series based on their popular animated movies. Such great cartoons include The Emperors new School, a take on the movie The Emperors New Groove, Aladdin, based on the movie by the same name, and Hercules, featuring the strong man from the movie but in his teen years. Each of these shows along with many more are a great take on classic animated features that your children probably love, and now there on in thirty minuet time slots each and every day!

Another great feature about Jetix is that all their programming is good and kid friendly, as long as you can stand some mild cartoon violence. The producers of Jetix are the same people that produce the Disney channel so you know you'll be getting good programming that you can feel comfortable allowing you children to watch. And the great thing is you may actually find yourself on the couch right along side your children watching some of the great old school cartoons.

If your looking to find a safe channel that you can fell comfortable allowing your children to watch then I would highly suggest Jetix. They have good programming that kids will enjoy and even employee some old favorites from my days as a kid. Jetix just all around is one of the better channels devoted to children's programming that I have ever come across.
