Jeweled Sandals - Five Under $50

Jillian McCoy
Glam up your feet this summer with a pair of jeweled sandals. These are among the cutest footwear trends for this year's warmer months. Wear them to the beach, the office, or even an outdoor summer wedding. Find them in basic neutral colors as well as eye-popping brights like pink and yellow. Metallic sandals are also sure to be big this year, and many jeweled sandals combine those two trends.

Here's a look at 5 pairs of jeweled sandals under $50 - perfect for those who want to be trendy without breaking the bank.

Thong sandal - Newport News, $24

These jeweled sandals are updated flip flops, nearly flat and featuring a white thong strap. What I love about these is the absolutely enormous iridescent faceted stone, surrounded by rhinestones. Very over-the-top, but in a tasteful way and far out of the realm of basic flip flop territory. I could see these being a big hit with the older crowd, worn by snappy seniors to match their pastel pantsuits. For younger girls like me, this pair of jeweled sandals seems best-suited for wear with jeans or a boho skirt.

Annie Aliza - Zappos, $49.41

Coming in just shy of the $50 limit, this pair of jeweled sandals by Annie would be perfect for the summer bride or to match a white prom gown. Available in pure white and ivory, these jeweled sandals feature a delicate rhinestone flower pattern and a thin buckle strap. The 1.5" kitten heel is even low enough to still be manageable in sand. These are understated enough to not require special occasion wear, being appropriate for a night out on the town or even to the office if your dress code permits. The brand also offers a similar pair of jeweled sandals called "Lola" featuring an inch-higher heel for about the same price.

Carlos By Carlos Santana Women's Star 26064700 Gladiator - Amazon, $34.99

These flat gladiator sandals feature mutlicolored stones in different shapes, and are available in 3 colors. Go with basic white to match all your neutrals - white sandals are also great for summer since the contrast makes you appear tanner than you are. The black may be a low-key evening option, ideal for special occasions where you'll be on your feet. For the daring, check out these jeweled sandals in mustard yellow. These would be a sweet compliment to your favorite summer sundress.

Dexter Zealand Embellished Gladiator Sandal - Payless, $16.99

If you're going boho this season, these may be the perfect jeweled sandals for you. Brown faux leather topped with faceted black and green stones, this jeweled sandal is capable of dressing up many of your warm-weather outfits. Try with khakis or animal prints and let the pops of green stand out, or accessorize with turquoise jewelry to pull the look together. The padded sole and adjustable buckle promise long-wearing comfort.

BCBGeneration Yaya - Zappos, $48.95

These jeweled sandals feature a thick band of leather, decorated with stones and sequins. Add to that the sweet detail of a toe strap embellished with a single rhinestone and you've got one cute pair of summer sandals. These are offered in 5 different colors, from basic black and white to attention-grabbing purple. These jeweled sandals feature no straps or buckles, and are nearly flat, making them the ideal choice from this list to wear with your swimsuit. Thanks to the shiny stones on this pair of jeweled sandals, they can easily go from day to night.

If none of these jeweled sandals grabs your attention, check out discount shops in your area. So far this season, I've seen jeweled sandals at Target, Forever 21, TJ Maxx and K-Mart, so they're sure to be popping up elsewhere. Dressy sandals like these are sure to be stylish for summers to come, get them while they're everywhere.

Great write-up. These sandals are beautiful. I never go anywhere, so I just wear flip-flops.

Nothing like bejeweled sandled feet and red toenails.

I have the same nothing between my toes and no white shoes thing as JC Torpey. I thought I was the only one!!! Ha ha ha. Although, I do REALLY like the brown boho ones from Payless. And I have the PERFECT outfit for them, too!! :) Thanks for the fun article.

@ Mike-You are wonderful! Jillian, you have, as usual, presented us with a wonderful review with great information. Personally speaking, I do not like anything between my toes (and I don't wear white!) I actually love the BCBGeneration sandals. And the ZZealand Gladiator sandals are nice too... Now only if they come in black...And a size 10 W! Thanks! ~JC Torpey

Excellent review, although I must confess my ugly size 12 feet would not benefit from jeweled sandals... :-)
