Jewelry Box

Quixotic_Kiss
" Inside of a white house
with blue shutters
and white picket fence
There was a oak wood desk,
with yellow and orange waves
crashing onto the stationary.
There in the first right drawer
is a jewelry box...
there are no snaps,
nor screws,
nor latches
That hold this box
just as free as the wind
to be opened.

As shimmery as a diamond in the rough
And as wonder whirls around you
to what just might be inside
you are just as startled
as to what conflicting force
Might be within
You glance around the edges for anything
but, there is nothing...
not a glemour,
not a glint,
nor a shinny chain
But, there is a light...

Just peeking through the crevices
thou nothing to be seen
Until you open it
You will never know the treasures it holds
And once you do...
there is no going back
Your path,
Your future,
Is in that light,
In that jewelry box,
In that first right drawer,
Of that oak wood desk,
Inside of the white house with blue shutters
That is guarded by a white picket fence
Will you take it...
Will you take the risk...
To glance at your future, your light...
I hope you do..."
