Jewelry Supply Stores Located in Lafayette, Louisiana

Stuller, Inc. is located in Lafayette, Louisiana, a small to mid-size city that was once booming with the oil industry. During the last 20 years, the city has settled down and is not expanding as quickly as it once was. You would never guess that a major international jewelry supply company was located here.

Stuller, Inc. was founded back in 1970 by Matt Stuller. Today, Stuller, Inc. supplies over 40,000 professionals in the jewelry industry all over the world. Headquarters is still located in Lafayette, LA and carries a wide range of jewelry essentials including gemstones, diamonds, settings, finished jewelry, bridal jewelry, findings, metal, mountings, tools, gift boxes, display items and other supplies.

I first became acquainted with Stuller, Inc. in the 1980's. My husband and I ventured into the jewelry business. We bought a small jewelry store which my husband managed and I took care of the books and worked on Saturdays. This was all fine and dandy until the gold market crashed, but that is another story.

My husband was an experienced jeweler, which gave us an edge on jewelry repairs. We didn't have to send out our customer's jewelry to someone else for repairs. All repairs were done on site by my husband. Our major supplier was Stuller, Inc.

Stuller, Inc. had just about everything we needed. Their catalog was about 1 ½ inches thick at the time and it was filled with just about any kind of setting you could dream of for rings, pendants, necklaces and earrings. The catalog also contained findings and jeweler's tools.

Since this was a new avenue for me, I enjoyed learning all that I could about jewelry design and repair. I even took my wedding ring, which was a ring guard and designed a new ring out of it by adding a marquise diamond to the center and closing up the gap in the middle. My ring was unique because it was one of a kind. I had the marquise set sideways instead of up and down, the traditional way a marquise is usually set. I received lots of compliments and to this day I don't regret giving up my original wedding ring by making it into a cocktail ring. Getting back to the topic, I picked out my mounting and stone from Stuller, Inc.

Most jewelers or jewelry stores have open accounts once established with major jewelry supply companies. Stuller, Inc. set our account up as COD when we first opened our store. We quickly established a credit line, which made life much easier. Once your credit line is established, you can just pick up the phone and place an order. Most of the time orders shipped out the same day if you placed your order before noon. If not, the order would go out the following day. Stuller, Inc. keeps a good supply and we rarely experienced any backorders.

The staff at Stuller, Inc. was always knowledgeable and very friendly. Phone calls were efficient and orders were always placed with no problems. I have to say that Stuller, Inc. has some of the friendliest staff members that I have ever dealt with.

Stuller, Inc. carries a wide variety of items in all price ranges. Their business hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Central Standard Time.

Stuller, Inc. is now up-to-date with modern times and provide log in accounts for established customers where they can place orders online via their website. This is a nice feature to offer to customers. It saves time and all records are stored electronically.

Stuller, Inc. also has a sales center in Houston, Texas and Toronto, Canada. Headquarters in Lafayette, La houses all of the administrative staff and the manufacturing plant, where jewelry casting is done.

Stuller, Inc. is located at 302 Rue Louis XIV, Lafayette, LA 70508. You can reach Stuller, Inc. at 1-800-877-7777. You can visit Stuller, Inc. online at Stuller, Inc.
