Jim 'N Nick's BBQ in Cordova, TN

My wife, sister-in-law, and myself ate at Jim 'N Nick's on 15 December 2010. We actually went out to Cordova hoping to eat at Genghis Grill but the wait was going to be 30 minutes and we did not have enough time. I had eaten at Jim 'N Nick's in Montgomery, Alabama, but my wife and sister-in-law had never tried it. We got right in without any wait. It is located at 2359 North Germantown Parkway in Cordova, TN 38016. Their telephone number is 901-388-0998. If you are traveling on I-40 take exit 16-A if you are going West and exit 16 if you are going East. You will merge onto North Germantown Parkway going South. You will go past Dick's Sporting Goods and the Ashley Furniture Home Store. It is located right next to Abbay's.

The service was good from top to bottom. Our waiter took very good care of us. The restaurant was fairly empty when we went in around 7:00 PM. My sister-in-law was hoping to have a BBQ baked potato but they were actually out of potatos. She settled for The Original BBQ sandwich and lets say she was not disappointed at all. I had the Hickory Smoked Chicken Salad Sandwich and it was beyond delicious. My wife had the Southern Burger which she also found to be very good. To say the least, each member of our party was very pleased with their meals. I should also mention that before they bring your food out to you they bring you a basket filled with these sweet buttery rolls (muffins). I say muffins because the texture was more like a muffin to me. They are very good and free.

The total price of our meal was $29.00. The BBQ sandwich was $8.00 and the Chicken Salad sandwich was $7.50. The Southern Burger was $7.00. We all ordered water so there was no charge for that. The total price of our meal before tip was $24.55. With a tip of $4.45 it was $29.00. I would definitely recommend eating at Jim 'N Nick's. If you are used to eating at places like Chili's, Ruby Tuesday, and T.G.I. Friday's it will give you a nice change of pace with some different menu items while still providing the same type of environment at a moderately good value.
