Jim Stafford Theater is located at 3440 West HWY 76 in Branson, Missouri. Jim Stafford has his own website where you can get all the news and information you need. Or you can call the theater for information at (417) 335-8080.

Jim Stafford has made his home in Branson Missouri since 1990. I can't believe it took me so long to check out his show. Still, I am sure I picked the right year to visit his show, 2007 was his 18th year in Branson. He has been voted both Best Entertainer and Best Comedy Show in Branson.

Arriving at the Jim Stafford Theater during the winter's slower season is a bit unceremonious, unlike an arrival at many of the other theaters around Branson.

We met Jim Stafford's daughter, GG and his wife Ann, in the lobby, showing off GG's tiny Yorkshire Terrier. Chatting with GG and Ann, I felt like I was being welcomed into their home.

Still this laid-back atmosphere gave us little clue as to what a treat we were in for!

The minute Jim Stafford greets the audience an understanding of the easy-going arrival becomes apparent. He immediately puts the audience at ease with a down-home feel. He told us a story of how he was inspired to perform. Jim is not your average storyteller. Even in this Jim Stafford has a style that is all his own.

I didn't really know what to expect from the Jim Stafford Show. I remembered he was funny. I remembered his hit songs "Spider's and Snakes" and "Cow Patty". Those were the only impressions I had to go on. I had no idea of the remarkable talent he had playing the guitar. Watching him play left me in awe.

Jim is not the only awesome talent to hit his stage, his son, Shea Stafford, quickly surprised me with his Jerry Lee Lewis piano style. He further surprised us with a lovely classical song. He can tickle the ivories as well as his dad can pluck his guitar. Later in the show, Shea entertained us on the drums too.

GG will not be left behind. Her talent is clearly defined as a harpist and pianist as well. What a truly talented family they are.

I was touched by Jim's recognition of our American Veterans. He asked them to stand, if they could, and gave us all a chance to show our appreciation with our applause. It was a very poignant moment, looking around the theater at all the men and women who had served our country.

There was plenty of room for laughter as well. Jim Stafford is a master with audience participation. After the usher takes you to your seat, you are given a card to fill out. If you have a joke, you write it on the card along with your identity information. If your joke is funny, Jim Stafford will put it in his act. Be careful. If it is not funny, he might put it in his act, too!

I will not say, if you find yourself in Branson be sure to see Jim Stafford's show. Instead, I will say, make plans to visit Branson to see Jim Stafford! You won't be disappointed.

It may have taken me a long time to get around to going to see the Jim Stafford Show. But, you can be sure it won't take me long to go back!

One of the best shows in town! He's really funny and is great on guitar! I have a cow pattie in my closet. Caught one when he tossed it out to the crowd!
