Eggs, pancakes, and home fries are just a few of the breakfast staples you will find at Jimmie's. The delicious food will also be served by friendly waitresses that will treat you like they have known you your whole life...and some customers they HAVE known that long! It is common to see customers that have eaten at Jimmie's every weekend for over a decade...it's a tradition.
The most popular breakfast on the menu is most likely the home style biscuits and sausage gravy. You get a very generous portion for less than $5. My personal favorite is the hungry man special, when I am really famished. You get eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and bread. By the way, this breakfast is less than $7! If two people wanted to have a light breakfast, it wouldn't be impossible to have a check of right around $10, before the tip!
They serve lunch, as well, though breakfast is served all day long. On the lunch menu, you can find traditional burgers, pastas, and country fried steak, and the lunches are just as reasonably priced as the breakfasts. The lunch is just as great as the breakfasts, and they are served up with the same friendly attitude as the breakfasts are.
Beyond just great food and friendly servers, the walls house a lifetime of baseball memorabilia for your enjoyment. Jimmie himself has collected these things over the years, and displays them here for everyone to enjoy. Yes folks, there really IS a Jimmie, and you'll most likely find him in the kitchen, cooking your order! Jimmie's Restaurant is easily the best choice for home style food in the entire city!

Post a CommentYes, THAT Jimmies is now gone, as of October 2007. HOWEVER Jimmies opened back up last year, he is now located at Turtle Creek, across from the pro shop. I plan to post a new review!
I have a sneaky suspicion that this landmark is gone now.... isn't there a CVS where it used to be?
Jimmie's is south of TJ's. JUST south of Barton Blvd. There's a Badcock furniture store, and a Planet Fitness in a plaza with Publix...it's in front of the furniture store at US1 and Barton.
