Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Las Vegas: Restaurant Review

Richard Banks
In the immortal words of country artist Alan Jackson, "it's 5 o'clock somewhere." When he made this song, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Las Vegas must have been on his mind. This tropical resort in the middle of the dessert is a fun place to get a great meal and have a great time.

First Impressions

As authentic as Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Las Vegas was, I expected to take off my shoes and feel the sand between my toes. I felt like a kid because I was so excited to be there. From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly and happy. The décor was true to form. Beach related motif and even a plane hanging from the rafters.

Wait Staff and Menu

The wait staff reminded one of cabana boys bringing meals at a beach side retreat. Shorts and t-shirts was the dress code, not the traditional formal attire. The wait staffs attire added to the comfort of the atmosphere. There was not one person who did bleed professionalism without appearing to be withdrawn from the needs of the customers.

The menu consists of traditional meals such as soups, salads, and entrees. At Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Las Vegas, guests will be treated to a line of dishes hailed as Margaritaville Grill. These savory delectable dishes consist of fresh items prepared on the grill. Whether seafood, chicken, or BBQ ribs, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Las Vegas has a healthy alternative to the traditional restaurant meal.

The menu prices were reasonable. The average dish costs approximately $10. The most expensive dishes are the seafood dishes due to the fluctuating market prices.

My Take and Thoughts

The final word on Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Las Vegas is awesome. From the moment one steps into Margaritaville, the transformation begins. You leave all of the worlds ills at the door and just have a great experience. The service was great and the food was appropriately designed to fit a beach theme. As the servers continued to remind everyone, you have to be in a Margaritaville state of mind.
